Lake Worth Beach creating affordable housing for artists to live and work
Read about it...Just across the street from the Urban Lofts you’ll find the new Art Lofts of West Village on Lucerne Avenue and North F Street just west of the downtown Lake Worth district.
While these are nice and may help that area look a little nicer, many who live in them do not feel it is a very safe area to walk around at night or during the day either, it is still very blighted and there is a lot of crime and illegal activity going on around this entire area. A lot of artist might like getting cheap subsidized housing, but at what cost? It is a very blighted and crime infested neighborhood here still.
ReplyDeleteThey are nice houses, but I don't understand the concept. Are the artists employed? Are they just free-lance? Please shed some light on the term.
