Notice from City of Lake Worth--Potential Breach to your Credit Card

Dear Valued Customer,

It has been brought to the attention of the City of Lake Worth Utility Billing that customers who utilized the online credit card payment option to pay for utilities may have experienced a potential breach of their credit card information.

In an abundance of caution, we are notifying all customers to check your statements for any fraudulent transactions that may have occurred between August 28th, 2018 and October 9th, 2018.

The City of Lake Worth Utility Billing does not manage online credit card payments. The City’s vendor responsible for managing such transactions is currently investigating the issue. Steps have been taken to neutralize any further potential breach through the vendor’s system.

If you suspect your credit card information may have been compromised, please contact your credit card provider and report any fraudulent charges.

Upon more information becoming available the City will update this notification.
