Lake Worth Visioning Session
Tuesday, July 24 | 10am-5pm | Lake Worth City Hall | 7 N Dixie Hwy
The City Commission will be taking part in a full day visioning session
to better define the future vision for the City. Residents are welcome
to attend and observe, although there will be no public comment.
That is horrible. It is not their vision, it should be the vision of the entire city residents! What a sin and a scam. Shame on you all. Vote these bums out!
ReplyDeleteAnd why can't the public have any input into this? is this not the peoples city?
ReplyDeleteNo one should show up!
ReplyDeleteThey Are/Will do as they please.
Because you voted these people to represent you. It is called a "representative " form of government.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how long this session would take if everyone had to listen to every crackpot that wanted to give their opinion of what the city should do going forward.
Run for office if you want your vision heard or get the person elected who most agrees with your position.
Most people just like to hear their own voice.
@9:36--we fully understand that those you represent are given little credence in this city. Thanks for reminding us. And we, too, realize that your main goal is to get in and get out. You would eliminate all public commentary if you could get away with it.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for term limits. Put that on the ballot and with that outcome you won't be so smug.
What a joke.
ReplyDeleteOfficials are supposed to represent the people. When they don't allow the public to speak, who are they really representing? Corruption starts at the local level.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, some of our representatives think they know better than community. some have their own agendas and some only listen to certain naighborhoods.
ReplyDeleteI'm 9:36... A visioning session is for the commissioners and staff to go over what THEY want to accomplish. It is open to the public so that there is no chance of them discussing what they want to see happen down the road in Lake Worth in private, which would be against the law.
ReplyDeleteIf you attend and hear something that is ensconced in their visioning, you can praddle all you want at the next commission meeting at public participation.
This is simply giving notice to the public that they intend to meet, in public.
I may not be in step with these ass holes as you suggest; I simply agree they have a right to meet in public, to discuss what they as a group might work toward in the near future, without my input or your input.
