Quote of the Day - Donald Trump
“We will not negotiate the status of unlawful immigrants while Democrats
hold our lawful citizens hostage over their reckless demands. This is
the behavior of obstructionist losers, not legislators.”
In November 2013, Senate Democrats used the nuclear option to eliminate filibusters on executive branch nominations and federal judicial appointments other than those to the Supreme Court so says Wikipedia. So, it's been used by Democrats and Republicans.
"So, it's been used by Democrats and Republicans."
So maybe you can explain why it wasn't used this time by Republicans, Lynn.
And "anonymous" at 12:36: you do know that Sen. Claire McCaskill tried to get the military funded last night but Majority Leader Mitch McConnell objected.
Hey Lynn, how about applying your strict comment policy that results in dozens of comments being deleted because of name-calling to the "anonymous" commenter at 12:36? Or does your policy only apply to people who disagree with you or "anonymous" comments not written by you?
I have no idea why it wasn't used. However, I think their goal is to get a bill passed that will be approved by both sides. As far as McConnell is concerned, he voted NO for procedural reasons in order to bring it back..he was preserving his right to bring the bill back as it was going to fail anyway. 60 votes is impossible to get in this political climate. This is a conservative blog so some of your comments will be deleted because they are factually wrong or just liberal propaganda. My call.
What a great quote from our President! Absolutely so true. Our military and those upholding the law come first over law breakers and people who do not pay taxes or have the right to be here legally. I am glad we have the shutdown, as now Americans can see it is all the Dems that are causing all these problems.
Hey, remember when Senate Republicans went nuclear and changed the rules to pass something?
ReplyDeleteGood times.

It's becoming a real Banana Republic!
