It was a beautiful tribute to our dear friend, Barbara Jean Weber today. Everyone at St. Andrews Church could relate to the words spoken by some of her close friends--about her grace, her spirituality, her kindness and love for all. She is the most unique and beautiful person I have ever known. R.I.P. Barbara.
3 of our commissioners were there. the mayor gave a wonderful tribute to Barbara.
ReplyDeleteAll those who spoke about their memories of Barbara Jean were fabulous. I loved them all. Maire Wayland, a friend of Barbara Jean's for 17 years, had comments that were spot on. Everyone who knows Barbara Jean could relate to most, if not all, of what she said.
ReplyDeleteBarbara jean had a way of making us all feel special and her BF.
I always told Barbara Jean that she would find something redeeming in Jeffrey Dahmer...which was our joke, as she never uttered a mean thing about anyone in this city and never took sides pitting one friend of hers against another. She took a few stands on local politics such as the heights in our downtown and our beach but never got anyone mad at her.
Thanks to all of her friends who helped her during those last agonizing months of her life. She needed you so much as she wouldn't allow most of us to see her in her condition. Special thanks to Maurici, Jack, Michele and Marie.
One of the missing Commissioners cannot step onto Holy ground or he will go up in flames.
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful service to an incredible life well lived. RIP our angel .
