Lake Worth neighbors hit roadblocks in upgrading historic homes against hurricanes
Historic preservation ordinance has restrictions
Read what Commissioner Hardy says... He is right! Can you even imagine not being allowed to install accordion hurricane shutters on your home?.
Think twice about buying into our historic district unless these problems can be solved.
Poor Lake Worth, it will always have a 101 problems, they are always so dysfunctional and now with the greediest commissioners and mayor ever, the city is doomed. The nicest part of the city, College Park, used to be nice too, but when you drive through it now, it looks blighted and many uncared for overgrown lawns. It seems like all who sell here, sell to slum lords who rent out all the houses, fewer and fewer buy to live in this city, no one takes pride in their home or blocks anymore. When if ever will LW get its act together? WE have lived here in this area for over 30 years, and it still hasn't happened.
