Shanon Materio gets ousted from MPO
Wanting to do everything possible to protect their water supply, West Palm Beach has always been against the State Road 7 extension because they say it would harm the source of the city’s water supply — Grassy Waters Preserve, a 24-square-mile marsh that was part of the original Everglades.
Although it was a good fight but one that they could not win, West Palm Beach has spent over $2 million opposing this 4.2 mile project. But Commissioner Shanon Materio who is on the Metropolitan Planning Council just voted for it. She was then kicked off the MPO on a 3/1 vote by the West Palm Beach council.
The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers just issued its approval for the project.
Read about it...
Development always wins because of Growth Whores like Materio. The mobster's daughter who miraculously kept a huge stained glass shop open during one of the worst depressions our country has ever seen. Does anybody ever see any signs of life at her shop? Me either.
ReplyDeleteHow did Pam Triolo vote?
ReplyDelete"Materio walked out". IF ONLY !!! I wonder if she cried and sobbed in front of the board like she did in front of the Lake Worth city Commission when Mayor Jeff Clemens removed her from the CRA board. Why on earth did she want to be on the CRA soooooo badly? I suspect for the same reason she wants to be on the MPO. Campaigns cost money.I hope the door didn't hit her in the ass as she left,or the taxpayers will be on the hook for a new door.
ReplyDeleteI don't really understand this or why she really did it.
ReplyDeleteRunning for election. Money? Maybe she thought she was doing the right thing.
ReplyDeleteY'all jellie much? Sad! Lol!
ReplyDeleteI don't think Keith James is jealous. It's politics and that can be sad.
