Connecting the Political Dots

Herman Robinson
Candidate District 4 Commissioner

Herman Robinson is raising money for his campaign. To date, he has received $12,622.68. But guess who some of his contributors are besides the "normal" residents who always support that side of politics?

Delray New Wave LLC: $500
Located at 10 SE 1st Avenue, Delray Beach gave a fundraiser for Pam Triolo when she was running one year ago. They are also registered at 102 N Swinton Avenue in Delray. Right down the road is Hudson Holdings at 20 S Swinton Avenue--Connect the dots.

Yesterday, while at breakfast at Clary's Corner, Herman said that he thought Hudson Holdings should sell the property and did not want to see them in LW.  If you recall, Mr. Robinson was chair of the Historic Resource Preservation Board that gave Hudson Holdings the waivers they wanted to build high and allowed a zoning change favorable to Hudson Holdings at the Gulfstream property.

Jetport II, LLC: $750
This company has the same corporate agent as Delray New Wave. JetPort is one of Sun Recyling's many companies that was acquired by Waste Management. Do you remember how Southern Waste Systems infiltrated our local elections back in 2008 and Retha Lowe was fined $2,500 for filing false reports regarding them? She got off lightly--this was a small price for her to pay for these days of honest services fraud. Sun companies have been lurking around our politics for years with campaign contributions to certain candidates that they feel are favorable to their cause.

Waste Management: $250
They were given our roll-off business for commercial and residential in August 2015 and connected to the above. Garbage is a dirty business.

Candidates say things that they believe you want to hear, not necessarily what they believe. Herman Robinson said that he thought candidates should be running on the same amount of money...an even playing field if you will.  I have always said that as I believe it would limit the special interest donations as well as corruption in our democratic process. You still have to connect these dots.

  2. He gave most everyone permission while he was Chair of the Historical Board the last few months while campaigning, even when there is no way he should have done that. He had a sailing buddy that would go talk to the people and get a crowd at his meeting and violate the Historical law. He cannot think on his own and when confronted he plain out lies. I was at the forum and I heard him say he WAS AGAINST the Braves, contrary to him wanting them here. I sat in the far back, and thought I heard him wrong. Maxwell is coaching him, he got him to run. Just go to Callaros he has lunch with City officials and Maxwell, a person showed me pictures.
Now I see he is against Hudson Holdings, lie after lie, then he took their money? Wow, really bad move on his part.

  3. I guess Herman has given up the idea of an even playing field. I do not want to vote for someone who is in debt to outside interests not the people who live in Lake Worth.Too often in the past Herman seemed to be on the side of developers coming into our city and not the people who want to keep our city livable.Herman is too closely tied to Commissioner Scott Maxwell and our City Manager for me to vote for him.

  4. Poor Herman. He votes with developers and takes their money and votes against the citizens. Isn't he a Democrat? Strange politics here voting with Triolo, Maxwell and Greg Rice.

  9. Herman Robinson voted in favor of the Lucerne when he was on the Planning and Zoning board even though they removed 94 public parking spaces from their garage that they had put in their original proposal to get approval.

In addition he had business a half a block away-the chocolate shop- which would benefit from 80 additional condos across the street.

An ethical person would have recused himself.

Vote Maryann Polizzi for a fresh honest face in Lake Worth govt.

  14. The developer of the "Lucerne" was allowed default on the Contractual Agreement to provide 110 Public parking spaces ,resulted in crippled all businesses in Downtown Lake Worth and future businesses, who are destined to go in and out of business for lack off parking facilities, and stole 20 ft of the Downtown sidewalk and reduced all Businesses which needed side walk Cafe business like in all Oceanfront side walk businesses.
Maryanne Polizzi will bring ethics, transparency ,civility, respect for their paymasters,Lake Worth Taxpayers and will give all Citizens sufficient time to present their concerns during Commission Meetings and will prevent business out of the Sunshine+illegal.Mayanne Polizzi is NOT FOR SALE AND WILL WORK FOR ALL LAKE WORTH CITIZENS,
    VOTE FOR MARYANNE POLIZZI
FOR ALL CITIZENS INTERESTS,CONCERNS,LOWER OUR MILLAGE RATE,HIGHEST IN ENTIRE COUNTY.
    VOTE FRO CIVILITY,CLEAN GOVT.
