Bryant Park Neighborhood Association had its District 2 Candidate Forum last night at The Beach Club located at the Lake Worth Golf Course. It was not well advertised but it did have a full house...a house packed with opponents of Commissioner McVoy.
Omari Hardy has come a long way in one week's time but being a school teacher, he is probably a fast learner of the political game. You can say anything that sounds good. Who is to know the difference? Once you say something that may be short on facts, the damage is already out there. Last week he talked about infrastructure needs. Last night he mentioned that we had a bond that had passed to fix some of it.
He accused the incumbent McVoy of missing meetings, making it sound as if this is a constant practice which it is not. McVoy should have immediately asked for a rebuttal, something Hardy did frequently in order to discredit McVoy.
Commissioner McVoy missed one regular meeting in 2016 and a few workshops. Hardy accused McVoy of missing a general meeting and at a subsequent meeting voting approval on minutes of that meeting where he was absent. This is flat wrong if he was referring to the meeting of August 16 and approval of the minutes of that meeting on September 6, 2016. McVoy was the dissenting vote on Minute approvals. See Minutes of August 16, 2016
Commissioner McVoy, an honorable man and even clapping or smiling for his opponents, is a gentleman surrounded by piranhas in armed and dangerous Lake Worth politics.
Scott MAxwell is behind this. Omari hardy is his chosen replacement for Mcvoy. Maxwell knows the score and how to win. It's a dangerous game.
ReplyDeleteMcCoy is a commie
ReplyDeleteMcVoy is a long-term Democrat. Omari recently changed his party affiliation to Democrat as confirmed by the Republican Party. If this is untrue, Mr. Hardy please comment. But regardless of party affiliation, this is a non-partisan race.
ReplyDeleteIt is obvious to anyone alive. Scott Maxwell is directing the campaign for Omari Hardy. William Joseph is in the mix to get some of the Haitian vote away from Christopher McVoy who has done a lot for the Haitian community. Loyalty is skin deep.
ReplyDeleteScott Maxwell is also supporting Herman Robinson in the District 4 race.
The purpose to is stifle any objection to any directive supported by Maxwell and the rest of the trio. He wants a total dynasty.
There are a lot of snakes but Lynn, you are right! Chris, get aggressive. You know what's wrong and what isn't.
ReplyDeletelets clean the swamp in lake worth and get behind chris and marian and next year clean out the rest of the trash
ReplyDeleteBryant Park rehearsed Hardy for the "random"questions posed by selected audience members.
ReplyDeleteRemember Donna Brazile providing illicit info to the Clinton campaign?
In Lake Worth, Robinson, Maxwell, Bryant Park NA, and Hardy are all on the same page in opposition to McVoy and Polizzi, and will do whatever it takes to push their unqualified candidate down the throats of Lake Worth taxpayers.
Vote for Christopher for District 2 and Maryann Polizzi for District 4 for an honest Commission.
This is fake news , no one got any questions or rehearsals prior to the debate
DeleteI hate voting for incumbents and won't until they have term limits for all elected officials in our city, state, and country!
ReplyDeleteI can't stand scott or herman! The worst!
ReplyDeletedid anyone else see scott give omri signs last
ReplyDeleteFrom the people I heard from at least 12 people did.
ReplyDeleteTo the anonymous poster who tried to comment last night on candidate Maryann Polizzi, if you have any questions or concerns please contact her directly.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't hold my breath waiting for term limits, 3:04. You have a known commodity in Chris McVoy. Why cut off your nose to spite your face for a principle that may be without merit?
ReplyDeleteAn anonymous poster came in at 12:10 am with a campaign pro-Hardy comment. He mentioned that Hardy "had the room" at the Bryant Park forum. I agree with that assessment. It was a stacked deck.
ReplyDeleteHe then mentioned Round-Up being used at our golf course and that Christopher McVoy was somehow at fault for allowing this to occur or for not being concerned, an opinion, not a fact. McVoy has spoken about these things on numerous occasions while one commissioner rolls his eyes in disdain. McVoy is a minority commissioner on the dais. If there are people to blame about Round-Up or anything else for that matter, which incidentally has not been proven as a carcinogen (Liberals love to blame Monsanto for just about everything)... http://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/roundup-and-risk-assessment look to the majority commission and to the city administration.
I didn't post the comment because some people just don't understand that this is not a blog to attack this author saying I'm vile or so obsessed with me to say that I did not clap for Hardy (which is a flat out lie). I didn't clap on the Round-Up comment. It is not Facebook. I control the action here, not you.
Have any of you bothered to talk with this young man? I did when he knocked on my door. I got the impression that Commissioner Amoroso is openly support in him but Scott is supporting William Joseph. I also asked him if was working with the Vice Mayor and the Mayor, he said they had spoken very little. As far as McVoy I have found him not engaged with the community and City Events. I do not think he is a bad person just not as involved as I would want my commissioners to be. He keeps saying he is only one person but he brings no new ideas to the Dias only wants to discuss what others bring. What was the last ordnance or actual change he sponcered? I have emailed him more than once to receive a generic response that he will look into my issue and never hear from him again. Many of us in his district only see him when it is election time.
ReplyDeleteYou "got the impression?" From whom?
ReplyDeleteChristopher McVoy is part of the minority commission. Maxwell, Triolo and Amoroso won't even allow him to pull something off Consent for any discussion.
You say you have e-mailed him more than once on an issue? What was the issue? Where do you live? In his district? You know, people can say anything about candidates but let's have the facts before you smear.
And incidentally, the Lake Worth Herald's opinion piece this week is a total disgrace full of lies and false assumptions.
Go Lynn. I read the Coastal Observer. Easton comes up with a bunch of crap.
