All citizens qualified by the Charter of the City of Lake Worth, Constitution, and laws of Florida who are registered voters in Palm Beach County and whose principal place of residence is the City of Lake Worth shall be electors.
The charter says: Any person who has been domiciled within the city for a period of not less than six (6) months immediately preceding the first day of the qualifying period shall be eligible to qualify for the office of mayor. Any person who has been domiciled within an election district for a period of not less than six (6) months immediately preceding the first day of the qualifying period shall be eligible to qualify for office of city commissioner from said district. For purposes of this subsection, a person shall be considered to be domiciled where he or she has established a fixed habitation or primary abode and intends to remain indefinitely.

Omari Hardy, who sits in the backrow at commission meetings taking copious notes
William Joseph appointed to the Tree board by vice mayor Scott Maxwell
District 4:
In district 4 there are four candidates so far:

Herman Robinson
Ellie Whittey who spoke out in favor of the Atlanta Braves coming to John Prince Park and attended the mayor's victory party. She was once employed by the mayor.

ReplyDeleteDo any of the Haitian candidates even really live in Lake Worth? Haitians don't even go out to vote in Lake Worth. Anybody evil enough to want to destroy a public park has no business running for office.
