The Bullies - It's a toss up as to whom is the rudest of the bunch

I am always hoping that this Trio of commissioners will stay cordial, however, there is always a commission meeting to affirm that the bully agenda is alive and worse than ever. They never let me down--last night was one of those nights. This has to be one of the worst meetings I have ever witnessed.

What had their ire was any question pertaining to the $40 million dollar bond by Commissioner McVoy that will probably end up being $75 million. Per a study he acquired, he pointed out that only $26 million would be spent on roads--not $40. Asking any question or pointing out glaring discrepancies that affects all property owners for 30 years is just one big annoyance to the bullies.  Instead, their mantra is to shut you up at every opportunity as you are not going to derail the money grab this time and keep any resident fully informed. No siree.

Last night they bullied Commissioner McVoy all evening when he wanted to talk about the road and the bond...even shut him down from commenting during his own Commission Liaison Reports and Comments. Can you believe that the mayor wouldn't allow him to comment on what he wanted to comment on? What is this?  North Korea? Freedom of speech is dead. Transparency is dead. And frankly, this was a disgusting show by this trio of bullies.

October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. But guess what, the Bullies on the Dais don't know that. There was no proclamation recognizing it under presentations. I wonder why. The Trio wouldn't want to come off as hypocrites. They lost their manners a long time ago and it got worse after their landslide election.

This month, "the world comes together to raise awareness for bullying prevention and to reflect on where we have been, where we are now, and where we hope to be in the years to come. This year’s Bullying Prevention Awareness Month marks the 10th anniversary of its initiation by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center. Since 2006, the event has grown to an entire month of education and awareness activities, and is being recognized by schools and communities throughout the world." Bully prevention awareness needs to be brought to the Lake Worth City Commission. An 80 hour course could be helpful.

Our elected body should set an example and stop bullying other commissioners--stop the punk politics and begin right now. Instead, they have gotten worse. And to the Trio--Your abuse, intimidation and aggressive behavior is repeated way too often--it has become habitual. You are controlling another elected official through verbal abuse and calling ridiculous motions to recess so that he can't even finish a sentence. And by doing that, you encourage some of your supporter political sheep (a few volunteers that you appointed to city boards) to come to the lectern and do the same damn thing. It's a bitch slap all the way around.  Mayor, you should be stopping this, not encouraging it. It's an embarrassment to our city.

Leadership starts at the top. Be honest, fair, candid and forthright, and treat everyone in the same way that you yourself would want to be treated. That's what we expect from you.

  1. I watched online and it was amazing. Scott is worse than ever. The mayor is off her meds or should be on them, whichever fits. Amorosa was fine until he opened his mouth. Where in the F**k is the decorum there? This should not be tolerated.

  2. I was finishing up with storm shutters and also watched it on-line. Maxwell was the worst and then Triolo...no...flip that. They were both damn awful. I was surprised with Ricard Guercio's comments...very rude and unfair. Peggy Fisher, well we expect that from her...the biggest cheerleader of them all. I was out taking a sky shot so missed some of the public commentary.

  3. Yeah I also missed the meeting-putting up storm shutters. How can this behavior be legal? Mcvoy is just as much a Commissioner representing people of Lake Worth as Maxwell and Triolo are.I will not be voting for the roads bond. If honest discussion were allowed ,I would. Hiding the facts like this current Commission is? No way.

  4. What goes around comes around...
Time to tell the world about the
    Tyrannical Trio in LW.

Last night was a horrifying bitch slap
in the face of free speech and their
OATH of OFFICE - that guarantees a Republican
    [REPRESENTATIVE] Form of Government.

The Mayor is a joke and Scoot needs to shut
up! Peggy and the next guy are clueless and
simply took advantage knowing the mayor plays
favorites! The rules are random or according
to her small brain whims...sick stuff!

  5. It's time for the P.B. Post reporter to expose the vile, self serving behavior of this Commission majority. We pay them to represent us, not to make a mockery of Robert's Rules of Order as they squelch comments from Commissioner McVoy, arguably the most intelligent person on the dais, and certainly the most refined and gentlemanly.
This trio is by far the rudest we have had in many years.
