Sober Homes

Comment Up

The City of Lake Worth is full of Sober Homes.  No one has any idea how many operate within our city limits...it could be 1,000 for all we know.  People have died and the fraud and harm continue.

Read this riveting article... on the Sober Home industry and the millions of dollars in alleged fraud that was investigated by the FBI with no arrests to date.

Another tough nut to crack.

  1. I heard That the guy who is going to open up the restaurant where Rotelli's used to be owns 20 to 30 sober homes in Lantana and Lake Worth. If true,he'll have an unlimited wait staff. And they'll fit right in with the kava bar,Propaganda ,Andy's porn shop and the Vape den. Welcome to Lake Worth! We're all about the arts!

  2. My understanding is that Wayne, who owns Key Lime House bought Rotelli's. I know he owns a lot of stuff, but you might be able to find out more by checking out the PAPA site. It's a shame that the Key Lime House has such lousy food, because it would be a great place to take your visitors otherwise. The view is fantastic. Unfortunately, many people who are happy to drink their dinner, don't care about the food.

  4. I love the Key Lime House and so do the guests I bring there from out of town. So glad the poster above will not be visiting the restaurant... One less malcontent to wait in line for what the majority of us like!

  6. Sure wish the City leadership would do more to combat sober homes. The say nothing we can do and point to ADA, yet other cities are doing lots and lots to register and regulate them within the legal framework of the ADA and our own codes and zoning.

  7. How could you say they're not doing anything. They have a table set up on Lucerne to help them expunge their criminal records so they can vote in the November Election.

  8. I still so absolutely NO REASON they cannot be busted for fraud and kickbacks. Both are prohibited by law (Stark Law) and this is NOT protected by the ADA. Is another pay to play the reason nothing is done? And why are we the epicenter? We all are paying the price in increased crime and decreased safety.
