Dorothy Jack's opponent, Shelley Vana, called us "idiots" for having the audacity to stand up for John Prince Park and object to the County approving corporate welfare and bulldozing 100 acres for the Atlanta Braves. If this penny sales tax passes (that will last ten years) at the polls in November, it is believed that the Board of County Commissioners will divert $110 million to build the stadium allowing all those who buy anything in our county to pay for it all. Such a deal--for our environment, our wildlife and all those who own this treasure, the people of Palm Beach County.
Tuesday is the election. Please vote. There is no other choice and only one candidate who is qualified, Dorothy Jacks.
Thanks Lynn, can anyone vote? I am NPA can I still vote for things for this primary election in August? Or is it only for registered voters who are dems of republi? Please let me know. Thanks! I agree with you about Dorothy Jacks. Thanks for caring so much. God bless you always.
ReplyDeleteIt's non-partisan...you can vote!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about that Lynn. While some of the candidates are non-partisan, they are listed on the ballot with the partisan candidates. Please check it out.
ReplyDeleteVoted for Dorothy already!
Is this race on your sample ballot?
ReplyDeleteLynn: It was on my Absentee Ballot.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that as long as you are a registered voter you can vote. Just not for the party primary candidates. Everyone could vote for/against the bond last time, because that would affect them. Same goes for the solar amendment.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine anything worse that Vana as property appraiser. The only experience she has with property values is how to reverse her position on the Ag reserve solely for her own profit. To me this disqualifies her for anything. Someone who views the office as just an opportunity for their own profit would be a huge danger given the power this office holds over our homes.
ReplyDeleteThe election on Tuesday, is a Primary Election. You can only vote your party. If it were otherwise, I too would be a Registered Independent.I don't like it either, but that's the way it is.
ReplyDeleteCertain races are on the primary that are non-partisan. You can vote in these races: Judges, property appraiser, supervisor of elections.
ReplyDeletecaught yourself in yet another lie pinkie. You said before vanna called you idiots. Now you say she called you morons? Which is it lynn lochte? I guess either word fits you so it doesn't matter does it.
ReplyDeleteLynn, that would mean that they would have to print up three types of ballots; Republican, Democrat and NP. Maybe they do? (I'm talking Absentee now)
ReplyDeletePLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE...if you don't believe me that you can vote for non-partisan candidates in the primary for these offices of Sheriff and others mentioned above, call the SOE's office and find out. I don't know what more I can tell you about it.
ReplyDeleteYOU CAN VOTE FOR:
Judges
sheriff
Supervisor of Elections
Property Appraiser
Didn't you get a sample ballot in the mail with these groups in the Primary?
