Still being installed throughout Lake Worth. How long does it take to know if we have saved any money? A year? I still believe that the only people who will be making money on the deal is Siemens.
Just another company making money off of us. Wonder how much went under the table for them to play in our town? The latest snake oil sales group was the 10 min presentation (that turned into 40)about how to shove 40 of us sardines into a 20 sardine can. And Maxwell almost pissed himself when they talked about how no more traffic studies would have to be done.
Your comment about 'how much money went under the table' to Siemens is illogical. Who does this also think gave out all the money to ply the deal with Siemens? Surely if it came out of public funds there would be a record of it… Duh!!! And surely no individual citizen came out of pocket for the alledged funds, why would they? there is no financial reward to anyone 'paying off' a big Corporation. It's quite obvious this come in or is uninformed or misinformed
A month ago or so they installed on the other corner. Yesterday they did this corner. That entire side of the building is nothing but bright daylight all night long. One positive...it might deter the criminals.
That appears to be a non-insulated bucket truck and boom. To my knowledge, this is not permitted when working in the proximity of energized conductors. The city could be libel for injuries if something goes terribly wrong.

ReplyDeleteThe criminals have a better view of things available for theft.
ReplyDeleteThey go along with Mary Lindsay's ridiculous crime watch signs that indicate to prospective residents that they are in a crime ridden neighborhood.

ReplyDeleteSiemens is a big, multinational company and they have been doing this kind of work for decades… I'm sure they know what they're doing.
DeletePerhaps the commentator doesn't know what he's looking at, is misinformed, or has another agenda
@9:36--no one knows what they're talking about but you! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteWell, not saving any money b/c now they are installing poles on private property. Can't wait for the litigation the City will face from that.
