Lake Worth 2016/2017 Budget Wrap-Up tonight

6Pm City Hall

So, what will we learn? We will spend more than we take in?
  • The PBSO's budget will go up by almost 2% or $272,219 for a total outlay of $12,465,000.
  • 3 additional street maintenance workers at a cost of $57,179 each and this total cost of $172,000 was not included in the proposed 2016/2017 budget.
  • The budget for basic street maintenance is lower for 2016/2017 or down 7.36% even though the Mayor was concerned about this.
  • The city is depending upon the General Obligation bond to pass.
  • William Waters will get his $866,000 for a new division concentrating on non-compliance issues.
