The Planning & Zoning Board published a legal notice No. 30407 regarding a public hearing on July 6, at 6pm at the city chambers.
The request is for a major site Plan and Conditional Use Permit for the construction of a four story mixed use building with the first level being ground level parking and 3,386 square feet of retail commercial and a public plaza. The three floors above will consist of 14 dwelling unit. The project is located on the southwest corner of Lake Avenue and South Palmway.
Well, thank goodness they are smart enough to only build to four stories. Hudson Holdings sure wasn't.
ReplyDeleteHH is just following our zoning map and regulations. This property could qualify for additional heights if they were wanting to build a hotel of 50 rooms or more. That property is in the hotel district, a designation that’s been around since our founding fathers laid out our city 100 years ago.
ReplyDeleteWhere to begin with the comment at 2:29. I guess for starters,BULL Sh$T ! The HOTEL district is the illegal designation put on this area three years ago by Pam Triolo,Scott Maxwell , Andy Amoroso and ex Commissioner John Szerdi in direct violation of the legal heights limit in this area. The legal height limit in this historic area is MAXIMUM height of 45 feet. Just because Pam,Andy ,Scott and John wanted to ignore an election and the will of the people doesn't make what they did legal.
