WHAT: COLLIE BUDS BLOCK PARTY
WHEN: FRIDAY, MAY 06, 2016
6:00 PM – 12:00PM
WHERE: J STREET, LAKE WORTH
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Propaganda will be closing off J St. from Lake Ave. to the South side of the alleyway for a J St. Block Party featuring Collie Budz. In a continued effort to decrease the effect of noise our occasional events have on our neighbors, once again the Stage will be moved to Lake Ave and should have a dramatic effect of amplification of bass. The barricades will be erected at 12:00 AM Friday morning and will be removed approximately 8:00 AM Saturday morning. Foot traffic will be allowed on J St. until 5pm, an hour before the start of the event, and then all traffic will be blocked until the duration of the event. Please ensure all vehicles are parked south of Bamboo Room prior to this time. As J St. is a one way street, and southbound traffic will be blocked by the event, you will still have access to your residences and parking from 1st Avenue South.

THANK YOU FOR HELPING US TO INFORM THE PUBLIC OF OUR UPCOMING EVENT!

..............
Details from the Leisure Services Director for all of you who are wondering why Propaganda can continually close down our city street..as long as he does the following, he "owns" our street and can close all of this much needed public parking:
  • No restrictions on number permits allowed to be pulled for use of ROW
  • Event Permits and ROW permits vary depending on costs associated with each event
  • Insurance is required
  • The event organizers are responsible for clean up and provide a refundable damage deposit as well

  1. It seems like Jordan pulls a permit every damn week. What's up with that? i don't go near the downtown during these sorts of events.

  2. WTF? Another Freak fest put on by this malignancy in our downtown? Propaganda should move to a bigger venue where they can put on their shows. THIS IS A PUBLIC ROAD ,not an extension of their business. But, oh yeah, they're blanket buddies with Mayor Pam Triolo,Commissioners Scott Maxwell and Andy Amoroso. They can do what they want to. Watch for thefts and overdoses to spike in tandem with this wonderful cultural event.

  3. They can't block off Lake Avenue so I guess they are having the stage directly across S. J Street adjacent to Lake. It's nice that the city can be so compatible so that Propaganda can make money. All three incumbents paid Propaganda $1,000 each for the fundraiser held there during the last election. You can't follow the money around here as it slips and slides way too fast.

  5. Propaganda is not the source of Anon 10:43 prediction of overdoses and thefts issues we face...

One just needs to look to clientele their neighbors to the south attract. There are 'recruiters' hanging out at the coffee bar selling their sober home wares with lures of free rent if addicts will agree to be per tested by the recruiters lab.

It's an illegal activity as is 'fee splitting' on the insurance these scammers are perpetrating, unfortunately the State Agency for Heakth Care Administration is the licensing agency for the labs and their enforcement division is sorely lacking funding to investigate and catch these crooks preying on the addicts and sober home residents.

One thing for sure that would help is if business like the coffee bar and Starbucks would involve PBSO and first warn them, then issue 'trespass' notices to the repeat offenders because this is where the addiction people hang out and the recruiter guys who are most often in recovery themselves know right where to find their fellow addicts.

Did you know Starbucks does coffee refills for .50, last week I was sitting there and I saw with my own two eyes a guy digging in the trash can for someone else's used, discarded cup, he then hands it to Frank (the sketchy dude who dresses in black who rides that black bike with big black box in the rear and now towing a caboose filled with crap) and then Frank goes in and gets this guy a refill... In someone's else's cup.

Ok is it just me or is this gross?

And a health hazard. The used cup fished out of the trash may have been contaminated by say some one throwing there dogs poop away... Yum! And then the recovered used cup gets handed to the Starbucks employee (non the wiser about where that cup has been) takes the cup, in their hands, and refills it... The employee doesn't wash hands between customers so your the next customer in line, you place you order, and the dirty hand now grapes a clean cup along with the handles of various coffee pots and assorted flavor bottles and voila you have cross contamination and redistribution of ick or worst to new and unsuspecting customers. That's freaking gross.

  6. That is such BULL SHIT, anonymous at 7:44. Have you EVER been in the coffee shop?

Everyone please note the BS'r commented anonymously.

The coffee shop down from Propaganda is owned by a minister. Anytime I have ever been there, it is quiet and people sitting with their laptops or reading a book. It is a great place for solitude and a good cup of coffee.

Let's look at other businesses that may and are attracting addicts--those that sell booze, not coffee.

  7. Propaganda ,the Kava bar, hookah bar (all friends of Amoroso-hey Andy, just what stuff do you have behind your counter)and and the people that go there are turning this town into a sewer.Arts destination? Right.
Amoroso hates the Minister because he didn't kiss Andy's ample behind. Amoroso hates anyone and anything that makes him feel "little".And that's not hard to do with the easily offended porn peddler.
Yep,say NO to Amoroso about anything and watch the show .

  8. Crazy idea, but aren't addicts supposed to avoid places like bars? And you can add the Kava, Vape and hookah places to the list of hang outs of rehabbers. They certainly aren't hanging out at Andy store… Despite what you think is appropriate to sell or not, we are still in a free country and as long as product is legal to be sold, an entrepreneur should be able to sell it without excruciating public commentary… If you don't like what he sells, don't buy it. Did you know that Walgreens and CVS also carry pornography? I don't see you protesting there.

Can't you admit that places like Starbucks,,, they've store, common ground, are all hang outs for rehabbers? You never see these people at beach cleanups, or on crime walks, do you? In fact they would do their reputation a whole Lotta good if someone organize them and they say went down and painted old peoples houses, or cleaned up a playground for the children, especially since their relapsing brethren are the ones responsible for the syringes is being left in the parks .

  9. Yeah, Dillon, you and your friend Andy know exactly what can be sold and what can't. The PBSO "friends" of you also allow you to break the law with illegally parking your vehicles out front. Your Commission connection Amoroso tells city workers and the code dept that you are off limits. Like I said ,kiss Amoroso's ass (and other parts) and give enough campaign money to the trio like Benny's and Propaganda and you get anything you need. Street closures, parking spaces for residents moved in front of your restaurant ,etc, etc.

  10. Starbucks is a business you ass. Why would they be doing cleanups? Shouldn't our city workers be cleaning up our streets? Oh , I forgot, your buddy Bornstein fired half of the employees and the other half quit because of the shit Lake Worth pulled on them !

  11. To 10:53 on April 22nd:
Ummm, I work at Walgreens. Can you show me where there are pornographic items in my store? I have just searched the whole store and I can't come up with anything that is even remotely pornographic like what is in Amoroso store that is open to all ages. I am headed over to CVS now to search there. Maybe you could give me a list so that I don't have to search as hard.
