Sober Home residents overdosing in Lake Worth

Comment Up

Read about it...

The property is at 1618-1630 South Federal Highway, Lake Worth, Florida. Are the Owners of record the very same who contributed thousands of dollars in our recent election for the incumbents? We'll leave that conclusion to you.

  2. Why the title "Vigilante Justice" ? And WHY is the Post protecting the owners? Hudson Holdings owns our Commission, does it also own the POST ?
It took me about three minutes to look up the following info on the owners of the property- Why is the post covering for these slum lords????

  3. Why was Hudson Holdings introduced to us as a high-end historic preservation firm when its making its fortune with dirty sober-homes on Federal Highway??? Everything we have been told is a lie!!

  4. Thanks Lynn for sharing and getting the truth out, ALL the truth will finally come out. How sinful. What is more sinful is szerdi and maxwell are supposed Catholics and go to Sacred heart Catholic Church, this does not look good for them. I say no to Hudson Holding, the comm. Benny's, Mulligan's etc. all these that give money to the comm to get what they want in this city. What a sin, shame on all of these people and groups. So so sad! They really need our prayers.

  5. I would never read, buy, or write to the Palm Beach Post ever again, they are the worst newspaper ever! The are all in bed with the devil! Scott and Szerdi, in bed with devils, how sad.

  6. Kevin is not a qualified journalist in my books and he will do anything that the trio tells him to do. Don't tell me he isn't getting something from these scumbags.

  7. Kevin didn't write this article with the Post. He's on vacation.

  8. Remember the lady who made the Robo Calls for Scott who lives in Delray and was connected to Hudson Holdings? Bet she was paid a lot by them.
Talk about Kevin Thompson, he isn't a Journalist, he never returns calls or emails and is forever sitting down with the TRIPLETS, never questions anything they do, a real Journalist would get people in the community to give some input, but he just agrees with everything they do. They need to do an investigation on the sun shine law in the City of Lake Worth. They have been paid off by these developers. Wait and see if they don't flip the Gulfstream Hotel. They should look into all of H.H. Corporations, that might be a big one for the P.Beach Post to do.

  9. I remember the commission meeting when Scott brought up the problem of Sober Homes and recommended "voluntary" certification. Now I see why, and as well, why we have so many of them. It certainly looks like if you buy a commissioner (or three), you can have any damn thing you want in this city. Maybe that's why the police don't seem to be able to do anything about our drug problem as well. Great pick up, Lynn. This could be a WHOLE lot bigger than just giving away park properties to developer friends. I wonder what you could find if you follow ALL the money--would it lead all the way up the hierarchy. And that could be why we seem to have no solution and no even flimsy requirements for sober homes. Is anyone making money on both the drugs and the homes and the insurance scams for testing three times a day? A corporate entity? And does the gov (or his wife) still get a cut of every drug test done?

  10. lake worth has gone to potMarch 27, 2016 at 8:39 PM

I am sure none of the big shots from HH live in this area, likely Wellington or Palm Beach, they would not want to live next to all of this. Federal Highway is so bad now, we were walking here the other night between Fed. N from Lucerne to 4th Ave, this is very dangerous, now, tons of drug dealers and prostitutes druggy mentally ill people all along here, no police, very unsafe place here just a block or two from downtown. Lake Worth has gone to hell. Andy, pam isn't this your area?

  15. It is really upsetting that the Post wouldn't name the owner of the property. Seems really strange. They name folks accused of less all the time. You could even argue that the property owner shouldn't be held responsible if the sober home is being run by another company, but why the hush hush note in the article.

Also, is that a current photo of the property? If it is, it really should be reported to code. It looks atrocious.
