Bat Chit Crazy

Comment Up

The power and the greed just never ends--
His Mandate

The Mandate King, is still pushing John Prince Park as a national league stadium. [Shelley] "Vana said she and several city leaders, including Lake Worth City Commissioner Scott Maxwell and City Manager Mike Bornstein, will meet with McGuirk Tuesday night.

Bornstein said he will push John Prince Park, a county park just west of Lake Worth. In 2015, the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros rejected John Prince Park because it was too small. Bornstein said it would be perfect for one team."

  1. Let's hope the Braves choose Sarasota. We've given so much cash for the WPB stadium that there is probably little left to promise.
Maxwell, Bornstein, and Vana are blissfully unaware of traffic problems on 10th Ave. N. and on Lake Worth Rd.as they pursue their dream (nightmare) to destroy a park for millionaires to profit at the expense of the little guy.

  2. These ballparks, all of them, are simply a tax payer funded give away to millionaires. The idea that we would ever make up the investment is ludicrous. Putting aside the location, a public park that should be reserved for the public, there simply is no reason to fund these stadiums. If they want to build a stadium, pay for it themselves.

  3. Guess Scott Maxwell will not make the city commission meeting? It's much more important screwing up a deeded park and a neighborhood out here. But he owes his donors who are still singing take Me Out to the Ball Game.

  4. The ROLO neighborhood is very opposed to this absolute folly. Maxwell is supposed to be our district one Commissioner, yet he has not had any discussions with us about this ! Katie Mcgiveron

  5. Katie, are you serious? Scott talking to anyone in his neighborhood other than those down at the Osborne Center? Really? Not likely. And I know someone who voted for him because they go to the same church. He should have prayed harder. Priceless.

  7. Has anyone googled Lake Worth. We have so little green space left. Leave the damned park alone. I wish someone would take that baseball bat he is holding and beat a little sense into his fat little head. All we are going to get is another concrete jungle.

  8. I am so glad you retired, not in need of job, have all day to read blogs, attend meetings to b____,moan and gripe about anyone's attempt to bring revenue and jobs. Hmmm, what if the team would pay for the building of the facility expansion of roads and perhaps a new off/on ramp at I-95. The facility could be used by other teams for major school baseball playoffs, little league playoffs etc...
I most of all like that again your input is? How about asking for the moon and seeing what is possible? Conservative commentary? Do most of your bloggers realizing they are wearing a Republican term? I am guessing not. Let alone the fact that the responses are far from anything that. These are not conservative points of view, family, business, self reliance. What are you all going to do when the city is bankrupt, when the sewage system fails and it is backing up into your homes? A city MUST support itself. My, your, households must support themselves. Where is the income to run the city going to come from?
The table is open to ideas...

  9. What does ruining a county park have to do with running this city?
    Explain.
Their "attempt" to bring revenue and jobs is a pipe dream and then they get to bulldoze a country park so that this might happen? Wild.
You are really delusional I am afraid--self-serving too.
