Drew Martin running for Vana's PB County Commission seat

Comment Up
Environmental activist Drew Martin, twice elected to the Palm Beach Soil and Water Conservation District board, has opened a 2016 Democratic campaign for the Palm Beach County Commission seat that Shelley Vana is leaving because of term limits.

Drew and his wife Christine live in Lake Worth.

Explaining why he wants to run, Drew said, "Someone needs to be on the Palm Beach County Commission who respects the residents in the county--someone who listens to the people and cares about their needs and not be in the pocket of developers. I am that candidate."

  1. Drew Martin is an honest individual and he's involved with saving the environment and he's not going to put one nickle in his own pocket.

  4. I will always remember this rude group that congregated at Sable Palm House years ago to "vet" Drew Martin who wanted to run for LW commissioner. There were a lot of obnoxious people there that day and I fully realized how boorish and nasty some people can be.

  6. Drew will be a breath of fresh air among the group of Commissioners who forget that the people pay their salaries and are supposed to be represented by them.
The present Commissioners have severely limited the people's right to be heard and are more interested in listening to themselves.
Jesse Santamaria is the last one who put the people's will above the agenda of those who met them in the backroom.
Go Drew-I know you will make us proud!

  8. To the person who just attempted to post a negative comment, please use specifics about what you feel Mr. martin said that you disagreed with before I post your comment.

I am really tired of people coming over here and denigrating people providing no details that can be substantiated You can say anything as if it is gospel. BS.

  11. Again, if you can't post details on your charges, then stay away anonymous, gutless wonder who just tried to post again.

  12. Politics sucks in this town. Someone doesn't like Drew Martin? Well, of course if they have their hands out to developers and want to totally ruin the environment, they won't like him. Honest people have a tougher job to win because it is developer backed special interests that want to have "their" candidates elected. Drew is a long-time Democrat and former President of the Lake Worth Democratic Club. He's a hard worker for our State. Hope he runs and knocks Dave Kerner out.

  13. Oh, that's Wes, he told me he was going to try and smear Drew, but
really Drew is a good person and nothing you say Wes can hurt him.

  14. Not Wes at all just an inside observer and witness to Drew Martin's public lies to make his own cause seem legit. He is fine as a talking head at the Sierra Club....then again maybe he will fit right in with the other public BS artists. Go ahead and only publish all the happy stuff he's a good man stuff I don't need proof, Drew just needs enough rope and he will show his true colors. Should be fun to watch!

  15. You have brought up LIES...let's hear them. Be precise now. Otherwise, this is not a SMEAR blog for Dave Kerner or one of his backers, Burt Aaronson or Jeff Clemens.

This is how you political hacks do it--offer one big attack with nothing behind it. You don't post under your own name so right there you have ZERO credibility.

You keep making these allegations that I have deleted without any substance whatsoever so I am waiting to see what you are talking about. Should I hold my breath?

  16. Yes, please hold your breath! As mentioned Drew will reveal it all on his own.
