Radicals, Wake up and take notice

Comment Up

New York Times says--
  • Today is a two-city day for Pope Francis. This morning he addresses a joint meeting of Congress — he is the first pope to do so — and has lunch with Washington’s homeless.
  • Then it’s off to New York to attend evening vespers at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

The way I see it, radical Muslims all over the world need to be deadly afraid after viewing the reception that Pope Francis has had in the United States, their biggest enemy.

10:58--just listened to the Pope's speech.  There was something for each political Party to agree with and other things to think about.  It was respectful and controversial subjects were spoken with delicate resolve that only a Pope could do. I do not agree with him on everything and disagree with him on immigration or even his suggestion of open borders. We are a land of laws. I am rather astounded that there are some who are treating him as if he was God him/herself.

  1. I can't believe you're falling for this, Lynn. The Pope's visit is a distraction created by the radical liberal Left to distract Americans from the War on Christians that they are waging. Christians are the next Jews, Lynn, and we need to wake up to that fact and not fall for the charade that is going on in Washington today. Stop putting your head in the sand and see the obvious: Obama is going to start arresting Christians and sending them to internment camps. The Pope visiting is just the start of the end that Glenn Beck has been warning us about. It's going down...are you part of the problem or the solution? With this blog, you could be part of the solution if you want.

  2. Well, your post just shows that anyone can read ANYTHING they wish into what I write.
To be frank, it was ridiculous having a religious figure address this country and more than that, ridiculous that everyone was clapping like a bunch of trained seals.
If the Pope is so concerned about helping the poor, let him open his treasury and all that gold and distribute it to all the poor in the world. What about that idea for piety?

  3. Lynn how quickly you forget… The pope is a head of state, he leads Vatican City and the Holy See. The pope is the ruler of both Vatican City state and the Holy See. The Holy See, as the supreme body of government of the Catholic Church, is a sovereign juridical entity under international law. He is also the spiritual leader of over a third of all Americans… That is a number well over 100 million. As well as leader of over 1.2 billion Roman Catholics in the world. And how appropriate that he is in the Americas… As 40% of the worlds Catholics live in Latin America.

Funny you didn't complain when Benjamin Netanyahu, prime minister of Israel, with a population of about 8 million was invited to speak to Congress. Let alone that Jews only total up to 14.3 million people worldwide.

And don't forget when His Holiness the 14th Dalia Lama of Tibet came last year and spoke to hundreds of congressmen and senators, he offered prayers at the opening of proceedings in the Senate. Heck even John McCain and Speaker John Boehner supported him and called him an inspiration. His meetings with both President Bush and President Obama offer a note of bipartisan support for him. The only reason he wasn't invited to speak to the joint session of Congress as a head of state was that that would've pissed off the Chinese... As they contest to bed as a sovereign nation.
