There are now new marriage and divorce forms in Florida. No longer will you see the words Husband or Wife. The forms have been changed to "Spouse."
Now if the State of Florida would enforce the rest of Federal laws and crack down on the illegal alien situation as well as the refugees, not to mention the State law that says English is our official language, we might save a heck of a lot in welfare, education costs, medical, housing as well as printing everything in Spanish.
English is the official language and Florida Amendment 11, was an initiated constitutional amendment which was approved on the ballot on November 8, 1988 by 83.87% of the electorate. One of the ideas of this was to reduce all the costs of printing in other languages. Afterall, immigrants are supposed to be able to read, understand and speak English to become citizens. We know how that idea went.
I wouldn't be surprised if this form is in Spanish and Creole.
It's time that we stop being enablers for people to break our laws.
