Lake Worth still agog for big-money developer

Lake Worth recently re-elected Chris McVoy and elected a newcomer, Ryan Maier, to the City Commission. Both candidates campaigned loudly against developing the Lake Worth Beach into a large commercial enterprise. Both candidates won by significant margins, which should tell us all something.

Yet the mayor and the remaining commissioners continue to insist upon listening to proposals from a developer who envisions a convention center and a private beach club, disregarding the wishes of their constituency.
