Hands off our Beach

Comment Up

"I hope residents now will be willing to work with the city to boost its fortunes and solve its problems.

 ~ Mayor Pam Triolo

Mayor, I would like to suggest that you, Maxwell and Amoroso listen to the people you serve, not those residents who for whatever reason are self-serving. It was nine years ago when Retha Lowe literally grabbed the Greater Bay contract out of the hands of then mayor, Marc Drautz.  This was the beginning of the nightmare.  The contract was not read, just signed and initialed by Lowe. Lowe's proverbial football got us kicked right into several lawsuits. She was forever telling us that she was tired of kicking that football and nothing getting done at our beach. You know the rest of the story.

Now I guess the mayor believes that all of us will just forget history and give up on the idea that outside control of our casino/complex is not that bad of an idea after all.

  1. Thanks to Golden, Jennings and Muvehill, something actually got done at our beach. We got the money from the County and spent a fortune upgrading our beach and casino. Now what is the problem with this nutty commission? can anyone be happy? Is it always about development no matter what? Sick.

  5. Lake Worth taxpayers pay Commission members,a Mayoral seat occupant,
a City manager and Staff, who are expected to manage all City assets,
and not to give Lake Worth's Management to out of Town greedy ,disrespectful of private Lake Worth 37,000 Citizens' Lake Worth Palm Beach Island Ocean Beach land ownership,
    crude developers,
    because of 2 1/2 years,
proven Management incompetence to generate revenue, with Lake Worth's lucrative over $1,000,000,000 worth of assets.
blatant incompetence of Lake Worth Citizens Management employees ,from Mayoral seat occupant to City Manager and Staff, which need to be replaced by a true, proven, background checked, experienced, Management body, worth the money lake Worth Citizens pay it.
This will finally bring Lake Worth economic development ,fiscal health.
