  1. my first thoughts are...an early morning drug deal gone bad.
But who am I to judge.....lets catch the person who is running around with a loaded weapon.....because the next person shot might not be someone looking for a quick high.

    PBSO....you're on the clock

  2. When will our elected officials same something about this crime crisis???

  3. For God's sake- JUST DON"T SAY THE "N" word!!! That is the only "crime" that our Commissioners are worried about !!!

  4. Our elected officials are already paying all that we can to the PBSO. What more can we as a city do? It really boils down to the way people treat each other. And PBSO and the city have NO control over that.

  5. Yup, free speech is a crime.

  6. I invite them all to go to pastor Mike's Easter service this Sunday at 10am Cultural Plaza. Perhaps then, they might be on the road to salvation.

  7. there are all kinds of things the city could do.

First, put crime and safety on the commission agenda once a month.

Second, set up official meetings with PBSO to get resources better allocated to address crime hot spots.

Third, get code out there tackling the abandoned buildings that contribute to crime.

We pay PBSO tons of money, if they are not delivering the results we need is the solution to just say oh well and let the murders and other crime continue?

  8. What a bunch of crybabies. You want to keep Lake Worth poor, don't want development that will push the low lifes out, don't want PBSO and think YOU can tell them how to better take care of crime in the city, want to scrutinize them no end when they DO take initiative calling them names and mounting protests as if the whole department is evil or corrupt. What the hell could the PBSO have done to prevent one drug addict from shooting another? Get real. YOU ALL promote the conditions in the city that attract all these types to come here.

I say a BIG THANK YOU to PBSO! They are more responsive than our old "top heavy" city police department and we were forced to go with them due to the spiraling out of control pension liability. We are still on the hook for bad decisions made by "Police Pension Boards" that will cost us million$ and you want to blame the only good thing going for the city?

    Viva PBSO!!!!

  9. @1:14. Thanks for your comment. We do need to talk about crime more and stop the influx from those creating the problems. Perhaps PBSO can come up with some solutions to this escalating problem and tell us the truth on what's going on in our city.

@3:59--this is the same old stuff, playing the blame game. Who in the hell wants to keep this city poor? Maybe just more poor people. You take your own advice and GET REAL. You don't think we're paying through the nose right now for public safety? We did not go with PBSO because of pension liability. Where have you been? It was a combination of several things: Mary Lindsey, the Unions pushing hard for it and our police officers wanting to go with them to MAKE HIGHER SALARIES and to be allowed to take their cars home at night.

PBSO has its hands full in this crime ridden city. You feel safe?

  10. Yes, I feel safe. If I didn't I would move somewhere else.

  11. I also feel much safer with the PBSO than I did with our own Police Department. It was too top heavy and dysfunctional.

  12. I don't remember Mary Lyndsey ever being an elected official in Lake Worth, she never worked for PBSO or LWPD so what role did she play in bringing PBSO to Lake Worth?

  13. All your jokes and sarcasm are disgusting. Someone lost there life. Someone's son or daughter. You have all become so desensitized. Your small minded and classless. Not one of you felt sorry for this person. Lynn, I'm sick of your shooting posts with all your careless comments. Your so disgusting. Your freedom of speech does not make this justified. You need serious psychological help. I'm pretty sure you won't post this but next time someone gets killed you might be more likable if you displayed some sort of remorse or sympathy.

  14. Believe me, NO one is joking about all the crime in this city. Quite the contrary. Perhaps you can get out there and solve it instead of jumping to ridiculous conclusions that are only in your own mind. Stop posting at 2:11 am...get some much needed sleep and think before you write such crap. And trust me when I say, that is NOT sarcasm. Get your favorite commissioner and PBSO to see what they can do about it.
