Congressman Vern Buchanan, a congressman from the 16th District in Florida and serves as a senior member on the House, Ways and Means committee, offered a Constitutional law lesson to President Obama on which branch of government has the power to raise taxes.
Read about it... Thank goodness there are some elected representatives who are watching out for the people.
And on a local note, McVoy and Maier, are two commissioners who WILL represent the people. Both of them believe that it is the responsibility of our elected officials, the commission, to represent all of the people for whom they serve--to encourage public input on matters that affect us especially something as important as a general obligation bond that the majority commission wants to shove down the throats of the property owners once again.
Obama is set to raise taxes; Lake Worth wants to do the same thing.
