Our beach last Evening
"We can't let the past define us, or keep us from moving forward," said the mayor.
Thank God that
we saved our beach from the flim flam man--
that a former commission "looked at the big picture"
that they were "not selfish"
that they "lead with courage"
The mayor wasn't talking about the beach when she said those words last night nor was she talking about a former commission that DID save the beach and stopped the outsourcing of it on a long-term lease that was challenged by citizens.
Thank God for our citizens and tourists
who support our beach even if we have one commissioner who constantly complains about everything going on there and an entire commission that wants to outsource the casino and pool.
Which way is 'forward'?

To the South?
To the East or West?
We don't know because we weren't asked - just told! I bet she has a degree in 'mind reading' as well as the other bullies (- McVoy) who know better for US than we do for ourselves...really - watch Maxwell's Video to the right of the post. Then go to the city website and pull up ANY video and watch the smartest guy (D#4) on the dais tell us so...we know he's so smart because he told us...(amazing how comfortably & condescendingly he behaves towards his bosses).
Seems like 'sustainability' is more about his job than being genuinely green!
Like the Congress FOR the New Urbanism and the Dictionary of the New Urbanism. They are trying to wack Webster outta the way and create a new form of government.
AND...
It's not what you think....pay attention or pay the price!
That is really a lovely photo.
