Where is "state st"?
ReplyDeleteWe all need to be doing with Mary Lindsey is doing in College Park with her Neighborhood Watch program in College Park, they have been very successful, we cannot rely on the PBSO, we all need to be more proactive and involved.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there are any renters, illegal immigrants, or blacks or minorities living in College Park? They do not have any blight there right?
How do we set up a neighborhood watch? How many people does it take to make it work? Can it work in the rest of the city?
A Neighborhood Watch is good. The problem here, however, is that criminals are out at all times of the day and night. The only thing you can do is report any suspicious person in your neighborhood and take all the necessary precautions to make you and your property safe.
ReplyDeleteCollege Park has some blight but it is true, you don't find as much in the up-scale neighborhoods.
Sorry but this is off topic. I didnt know where else to post it. I just thought with all the bad stuff that happens in LW your readers might want to know that every once in a while a bright spot appears.
ReplyDeleteLake Worth native Brittany Bugalski was invited to join the U.S. Women's National Hockey Team training camp roster. Thats right a LW FLORIDA native play hockey at the highest level. This might bring some positive attention to LW.

State St.?
ReplyDeleteA few blocks west of Boutwell off of 10th Ave North and East of Congress.
ReplyDeleteIs that city of Lake Worth?
ReplyDeleteClose enough...and you already knew the answer. I kept in in the stats because it is right where we are trying to attract development...close to where we have approved more AFFORDABLE rentals.
ReplyDeleteIt's across the street from where I did my later eye surgery, a good half mile from Boutwell and I don't see any affordable rentals being built. You are misleading the readers here.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing Lynn, when you call the non emerg. PBSO number they keep you waiting so long or cut you off, it is frustrating sometimes, have you all had this problem? The attitude from them or the police too when they come can be annoying as well. The call system is not very ideal anymore.
ReplyDelete"The only thing you can do is report any suspicious person in your neighborhood...."
Yeah, 12:09, I do that all of the time. Just wait a little while--a shooting will come to your neighborhood..perhaps right next door. You just never know. You are, once again, missing important points. Crime is on the rise and to keep your head in the sand will not diminish it. The crime reports that I receive are within a 2 mile radius of city hall. 2 miles is too close. Even the shooting at City Place is too close.
