Big, Big, Huge Government

In 1996, we cheered when President Bill Clinton said that "the era of big Government' is over."  We have come a long way baby to go in the opposite direction from a balanced budget under Clinton to a debt of unsustainable proportions. We just had Obama's State of the Union.  As we all know, big government is still big, bigger than ever with over $18 trillion dollars of debt with NO WAY OF PAYING IT DOWN IN YOUR LIFETIME. Perhaps Democrats are hoping for a fairy godmother to come down and wave her magic wand--but I don't think that they even care about it.

According to CSN News, "as of June, there were 115,097,000 households in the United States, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The $17,687,136,723,410.59 in debt the federal government had accumulated as of the end of July equaled $153,671.57 per household. The $7,060,259,674,497.51 in new debt that the federal government has taken on during Obama’s presidency equals $61,341.82 per household."
