Being Gay is not a Choice

  1. Thanks Lynn for sharing the video. So true. So sad. My mom used to think it was a choice too, until she had two kids come out gay. She never kicked us out of the house or beat us. Later on in life she accepted us and our partners and loved us. She used to blame herself for producing two gay children. It wasn't her fault, it was genetics. My fathers side had some other gay relatives. Being gay is not a choice. Gay people can still go to church and be very religious too. A lot of priest hide their sexuality behind their profession. God is love and produced all kinds of people so that others learn not to judge or hate them. Gays, blacks, other races, special ed. population, etc. There are all kinds and we are closer to heaven than most who like to judge or treat their kids the way these parents did in this video. I am sure they will come around someday.

Hopefully it has made you think differently about being gay too. Gay people deserve all the same rights and benefits as heterosexuals, and thankfully the courts finally saw this and are now allowing us to marry here in FL and live our lives the same as any other married couple with all the same rights.
It has been a long struggle, it is not easy being gay, who would choose to go against the grain? To be treated like freaks? We have come a long way and hopefully love will prevail for all.

  2. It was heartbreaking to see the reaction and treatment of this mother and father toward their gay son. It is hard.

  4. Yes Lynn, you said it all, God does love us all very much! No matter what we are. Now that we have the gay issues fixed in FL and the USA, now we need to help all these young people that have addition problems in our society. So many people with addiction problem, it is sad. God bless you dear. Thanks for all you do.
