Obama to address the nation on Amnesty

Comment Up

Tonight, President Obama will exercise executive overreach. Our imperial highness will grant amnesty to 5 million illegal aliens. This expected action is probably the easiest and most unchallenging way to handle the mess by our president who refuses to work with Congress and a hell of a way to get Democratic voters. Read about it...

Florida has seen the biggest rise of illegal residents in the U.S.  We notice it every time we go shopping--people speaking in Spanish. We notice it when we drive down Lake Avenue with all those STILL hanging out and the area looking like a ghetto. The recent murals painted on the shuffleboard court building show a south of the border appeal to all those living in the area. With all of this illegal migration, sometimes you get the feeling that you are living in another country. Crime is on the rise in the poorer parts of our city.

According to BizPac, the total number of illegal immigrants living in the United States hasn’t changed much since 2009. However, where they choose to settle is changing, according to a new report from the nonprofit Pew Research Center. The recent report shows Florida with the biggest increase of illegal aliens.

"Between 2009 and 2012, some 55,000 new illegal aliens came to Florida. That brings the state’s total to an estimated 925,000. The increase highlights a broader shift from the West and Southwest. Only New Jersey saw a larger increase, with about 75,000 people." Read more...

According to Rasmussen Reports, Sixty-two percent (62%) of voters already have signaled that they oppose the president granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants without the approval of Congress, and 55% think Congress should challenge that action in court.

  1. Lynn, please stop putting all the blame on Obama. The Senate and Congress have had many years to address this and haven't, even way before Obama was in office, Bush could have done something too and never did. The bigger problem is human trafficking, that is what they need to stop letting happen here in this country.

I applaud Obama for taking some leadership on the issue finally, since the senate and congress never have.

Say NO to human trafficking in the USA, that needs to stop.

God bless the newer generations of immigrants in the USA, I guess it was not easy for the older generations either.

Thank you President Obama for ALL you are doing!

  2. Those who cross the border illegally are committing a crime. Obama is protecting criminals and he is going against the Constitution to do it. He has not implemented E-Verify. He has had numerous chances over the past six years to do something about this scourge. He sues Arizona for trying to stop it. He hasn't done a thing. And now he will be opening the borders to more of it. Shameful. Let him work with Congress to come up with a viable solution, something he refuses to do. Past presidents who have granted amnesty did not solve this ever growing problem dumped on the American citizen to pay.

  3. Obama is a loving and compassionate person who wants equal rights for all humans, and all the immigrants who come here most are human trafficked here, they need to be protected. All these children that are born here are Americans and although their parents are not, it is not fair to send them home now, the kids have roots in the schools and country. The world sure would be a better place if we had no borders and we could fly or roam like birds and other animals do. Why does man restrict itself so much. Obama should win another award for all he is doing to keep families together and help all these poor people. Sometimes following ancient rules and laws, many which are antiquated now, are silly to follow anyway, we need to put human needs above hate, inequality, poverty, and injustice. Obama has the Spirit in him and is doing what he thinks God, Jesus, Mother Teresa, Ghandi, and Pope Francis would want him to to. Compassion is key here.
