Medical Pot is dangerous for Florida - Vote NO on 2

Comment Up

Medical marijuana in California has mutated into legal marijuana and that's what it will do right here in Florida. Can you even imagine walking down Lake Avenue and possibly having a Pot Shop on our main drag right next to the kava bar and Sen. Jeff Clemen's office? He is the one who is advocating for this and we will eventually see pot heads all over town.  All you will need to get a prescription is telling your doctor that you can't sleep. We will be legalizing drug dealers.  Vote NO.

  1. Danger? Really - what danger?

Best question is WHY did the US Government Patent pot as an anti-inflammatory?

Besides curing cancer etc. and "Economic Development" on Steroids...the government can NOT tell me what I can put in my mind OR MY Mouth! Have we learned nothing from Prohibition & why we repealed it?

What if your baby had 300 seizures a week (A WEEK) and some 'dangerous pot' ended her trauma? Would you call it dangerous or move your whole family to a state where you can take the 'meds' of your choice?

The war on drugs is a "Failed" war like Elliot Ness war on alcohol! That is unless you're looking for Free Prisoner Labor! I'm more fearful of the chemicals called prescriptions given from doctors than a little weed!

    Know about the
    "The Holland Effect"? Their
Minister of Health held a press conference and said they have 1/2 the use in adults and kids. They have succeeded by making pot boring!

We can get hemp from Canada and the UK but can't grow it in the USA?!?

  2. "In 1999, HHS filed for a second patent, specifically for cannabis oil for the treatment of disease. That’s right, our government through the taxpayer funded Department of Health and Human Services holds two patents on cannabinoids and cannabis oil to treat certain diseases like alzheimer’s and auto-immune diseases like crohn’s."

"Meanwhile, our government through taxpayer funded agencies like the Department of Justice pursue, arrest and in prison Americans who would attempt to access or use cannabis oil to heal their own bodies. Because in public they claim cannabis oil is not medicine and in private they seek to own the rights to that medicine."

  3. Love ya , Weetha--but I 100% disagree with you on this one. Personally, I don't care what you do to your body but when it could be a danger to someone else, I do. :)

  5. I agree with you Lynn, no support for these drugs, clemens and his pothead groupies are pushing this, but it is wrong for FL and our society, even the Pope says it is bad. so many people use so many excuses for needing to escape on drugs and getting high, turn to God and people and you do not need any drugs, healthy eating will cure most diseases and you do not need to smoke pot. clemens is a waste of a politician and human being, what has he done for the common man?

  6. @9:30--
You sound like one wonderful person--
the criminal effect of decriminalizing marijuana won’t be felt for several years. After that, then make a decision on data and facts and not rhetoric.

Next, don't know one person who smokes pot or does drugs and I certainly do not associate with them. You sound like your smoking right now. Keep your nasty snide remarks off this b log.

  7. Lynn you must be kidding when you say you don't know or associate with anyone who smokes pot. Your new found friend, Weetha Peebull aka Suzanne Squire, is a very regular pot user and A LOT of people in Lake Worth know this. You can't stick you head in the sand or close your eyes on this one.

  8. Yes, I believe she advocates for pot. My immediate and close friends (other than one who smokes cigarettes) do NOT smoke anything legal or illegal; we don't drink and we don't ______. :)
In the future, please refrain from calling out a citizen who is not a public figure by name. And use your own name next time. For all we know you could be the biggest pot head around hanging out with felons who have businesses in our downtown.
    Thanks.

  9. I would run into the bully blogger singing karaoke at the same time. Now that would be a scene.
