I guess we can take out a little time for a little fun as Rome burns!
September 19 is National Talk Like a Pirate's Day.
It will be recognized at tonight's commission meeting.

And for a little trivia,
the 19th is also POW/MIA Recognition Day--

Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic...
ReplyDeleteThis should give pause to even the most hardened supporters of the present dais.
ReplyDeleteCome on weetha! Cheer up. You start everyday on a downer.
ReplyDeleteIt's more like, she starts every day with the truth.
ReplyDelete9:32, if you and weetha knew so much you would have candidates in line to get the incumbents out. Truth is you really have no answers, just mindless complaints. Truth is you were sucked in by a pac whose primary contributor does not even live in this city. Chomp on that for a while.
ReplyDeleteOh snide one at 9:52. I guess
ReplyDelete1) you have no clue as to what is happening in the world.
2) Whether a person contributed from Atlantis or not, is silly as your side had 3 contributors from Atlantis. So what's your argument?
3) CAUT had little money and human resources and went against $70,000, so
CHOMP ON THAT FOR A WHILE.
It's just this simple.
ReplyDeleteIf someone promises you something;
should you expect they will honor the promise and do what they say?
I do and our reps swear an oath to the Constitution before they can do anything 'for us' (Make Rules). To celebrate an International Thieves Day over (not even along side...) our very own Constitution Day (Sept. 17th) is appalling and a slap in my face (the Constitution Lady) imho.
I agree, I have been promised improvements from our mayor and two commissioners, but they never do anything. They say things to stay in office. I will never vote for them again! Lies lies and more lies from the elected ones and CM. Will this city ever improve?
ReplyDelete"Lies, lies and more lies" What lies specifically? What improvements were you promised? Improvements cost money. Do you pay any taxes? Do you make your decisions based on phony comments you read here.
ReplyDeleteYou mean sort of like YOUR comments, anonymous? LOL
ReplyDeletePirates. How appropriate for a group of scavengers that just tried to steal more than 63 million dollars from the people of Lake Worth. Also, aren't Pirates known for their love of rum ? The similarities just keep coming.Pirates don't pay for stuff either, do they? They just take whatever they want(like 50,000 for questionable advertising). This group is looking more pirate-like by the second ! Dang ! Katie Mcgiveron
ReplyDeleteThe Lake Worth Dais just celebrated International Pirates Day and now the presentation is on 'poop'! Constitution Day is tomorrow, Sept 17th and I'm glad they 'forgot' to celebrate the document they swore an oath to uphold...then talked about 'poop'! Trying to see the brighter side...
