When you look at the Commission's agenda for Tuesday night's session after cancelling the last two general meetings, it seems like a lot. It goes on and on and on. However, 19 items, totaling $2,131,892 are on the Consent Agenda. Any items over and above bookkeeping or the mundane should be discussed and not just thrown on Consent.
There is a new business going into the Park of Commerce and right away the city jumps on it because the Park of Commerce is in the Lake Worth 2020 Plan although that is never mentioned lately. The owner must convey a right of way to the City as part of the Boutwell Road Infrastructure Project. (The city in its back-up even failed to say the words Park of Commerce Infrastructure Project). The property in question is located at 3520 Boutwell Road, 3540 Boutwell Road, and 3511 7th Avenue North in the POC.
The Planning & Zoning board approved of this site plan on a 5/0 vote. Consequently this new business, West Coast Waters, LLC, is required to dedicate a right-of-way to the City to provide for the improved intersection at Boutwell Road and Seventh Avenue North of the Boutwell Road Infrastructure Project.
The Maxwell dream is proceeding and going forward. In year 2015, the city has projected an expenditure there of $3,350,000 for a total of $4,550,250 through next year that does NOT include the bond.
Oh great. I thought the city was broke.
