Greed is out of control

Comment Up

It's going to take Rick Scott to fix this mess. Greedy investors are buying up condominium units cross the State and forcing condo owners out. With 80% control, they can force other residents to sell at low prices because of a 2007 loophole in Florida law.

This could be a huge political albatross for Scott if this is not addressed as Florida has hundreds of thousands who live in condominiums Click here

  3. Yes greed it out of control, but they are not only buying up all condos, these investors are buying up all these houses here in LW too, then they rent them out, they want to keep the city slummy and blighted so then their taxes do not go up much. They do not want our property values to go up. Andy is a renter and is happy supporting all these investors and renters here and not ever doing anything about all the blight. Greed, corruption, and ineffective leadership are all the biggest problems we have here in this city and that is why we never see any progress. People like Andy and all these realtors in this city are to blame for a lot of the problems here. Until we can make our city 80-90% homeownership in this city, we will all continue to have all these problems and the greed will get worse.

  5. i was talking about greedy investors involved in condo buyouts here, anonymous at 11:24. I fully understand that Democrats will completely demonize anyone who is a Republican.

I am not happy with any politician 100% but he has done ok in Florida on most things. He is against Common Core whereas Crist is for, as an example.
