Politicians have their own unique little club behind closed doors.  Usually it has nothing to do with even remotely caring about the will of the people--this tale is no exception.

Greenacres Mayor, Samuel J. Ferreri, has been involved in local government since 1982, and served on committees and boards prior to first being elected to the City Council in 1984. He served as Deputy Mayor from 1985 to 1988, and began serving as Mayor of the City in 1988. He has been re-elected into office since that time, most recently in March 2013.

Mayor Ferreri is very active in local government, community service and State and regional organizations. He currently serves on numerous boards including the Florida League of Cities, Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, a group that wants to develop everything going, Intergovernmental Coordination Council and Issues Forum, Florida Municipal Insurance Trust, Palms West Chamber of Commerce, and Oasis Compassion Agency.

Mayor Ferreri previously served as president of the Florida League of Cities in 1997/1998, and Chairman of the Human Development Committee of the National League of Cities. He also served on the Board of Directors of the National League of Cities, and numerous boards of the Florida League of Cities and County organizations.

Scott Maxwell, president of the Palm Beach County League of Cities, an organization that teaches its members how to screw the people they serve, has reached out to him to stand by Lake Worth in its never ending pursuit of John Prince Park as a national baseball stadium. The residents adjacent to the park, all in Scott Maxwell's District, would like Maxwell to reach out to them.

  1. JPPark - a nice place to be near w/ our two childhood homes. I remember seeing you ride around the lake many times on that spiffy blue English bike of yours.

Just had a chance to cruise one lap around the new casino at the beach on Mon. There has been a number of changes over the last 50 years; looks good.

  2. This is whats SO WRONG about our politicians. When they are running for office, they call themselves our "representatives". They want to "serve" us. When they get elected, they suddenly know better than we do about what is good for US.The HUGE misconception that Scott Maxwell and his small , exclusive band of elected cronies has is that WE elected THEM to make decisions for US ! NO !!!WE elected THEM to make the decisions that WE TELL THEM to make on our behalf !It really is an incestuous little group, that League of Cities. We really need to make sure that we elect new people who will make it a priority to drop out of the League of" screw your citizens". 3. Katie McGiveron.. I'm forwarding this to the commission and to the city attorney. This is slander. Let's see who on Lake Ave will support your sister and yourself with that nasty mouth of yours. YOU should be ashamed of yourself. Absolutely disgusting.
