Take me out to the Ballgame

Comment Up

"John Prince Park west of Lake Worth was not on the list shown to Astros owner Jim Crane and Nationals principal owner Mark Lerner. Although county staff have ruled out that site because of state deed restrictions on the park land, Lake Worth officials think those issues can be overcome."

Well, of course. We have a top-notch attorney, city manager, commission and former mayor Tom Ramiccioo pushing for it. Dreams can come true.

  1. This is all too funny. The city will now waste dollars exploring how the county can ignore deed restrictions. City attorney, did you get instructions yet? They are considering the Holly site that was just sold and put part of it on our landfill, right near Retha's house. We'll just try and screw over another neighborhood if we can't to it at Lake osbourne.

  2. To the anonymous poster with the IQ of 69 who attempted to post here saying that I contribute NOTHING to this city...well, I guess you don't know how to read...You don't know what the problems are and you have your head in the sand. Lots of that here in Lake Worth...sand.
People contribute in various ways. Just by taking your abuse day in and day out keeps me motivated to expose the truth. Keep it up.
My community is one of the few that are NOT blighted in this city. It is an older community for people over 55 where people still have pride in where they live and how they live. We spend a lot of money and effort to keep it that way. It is too bad the rest of the city can't look as good. I say, take care of your own property. If every owner did that, we would eradicate most all of our problems and lower crime.
And would you kindly read the comment policy? Thanks.

  3. I'm sory anon at 9 34 a.m. I do not see how this is screwing a neighborhood. This would benifit the city as a whole. But now we do not have to worry about this issue. Lets let Lantana get the glory, and the income.

  4. Lynn you forgot to mention that your community also pays little, or no taxes to the city. That is of course unless you are a snowbird.

  5. anonymous, I know that you just love to harass me. I have answered this on many occasions. We pay what we are told to pay---what we are billed from the city, the county, etc. So, get rid of the slum, the blight and the crime and perhaps property values will go up, not only here but everywhere.

P.S. Don't worry about what I pay. At least my home is not in foreclosure. We pay our bills out here and we keep it pristine perfect. This is the last time I post your abusive comments. Thanks.
