Offer to form Graffiti Task Force ignored by District Commissioner in Lake Worth

Comment Up

Well, heaven knows, we have plenty of it throughout our city. The above has been there for months.

Nearly two weeks ago, Katie McGiveron, Vice President of the ROLOH neighborhood association contacted  her District 1 elected official, to offer her services.  She told him that she would like to  form a Citizens Graffiti Task Force and paint over graffiti throughout our city, devoting Wednesdays to the task, her only available day. She asked that the city provide the paint.

At this point, she has never heard back from Mr. Maxwell who has been engaged in "shiny objects" and the above graffiti is still there for all who drive by, blighting our city and sending the wrong message.

  2. Hi everyone. Katie here. Pretty sad ,isn't it? I offer to volunteer , and not even a "no thank you because,,,,. I reported this to P.B.S.O several times, over a month ago. Nothing. Well Scotty, I hereby rescind my offer to Lake Worth. I will only be getting rid of graffiti in my own neighborhood.

  3. Scott does not call or email anyone back, he is pathetic and now we have to put up with two more years of his lame ass. Katie, you should have brought this up to the mayor, CM, and Capt. Silva, and the rest of the commission too, it is a great idea and the city needs to do more of this, e are just seeing so much graffiti all over our city again. What about Sher. Bradshaw? Call or write him so if they all can do more at the PBSO about this, it is out of control. Our city looks like hell with all this graffiti.

  4. Lynn, thanks so much for bringing the blight and graffiti issues to the forefront of the problems in Lake Worth, we need to stay on this and keep city leaders accountable. We need to see more sustainably improved results about all of this, maybe we need a march at City Hall, the crime, blight, graffiti, and lack of codes are still all the big problems in out city that our leaders, CRA, and elected continue to ignore and do little to address. Bravo to you all for constantly bringing it up, it is not in vane, we need to use more creative visualization to put make this city the place we are all proud of.
