Flaunting it

Comment Up
The Canadian who is selling this car with a New Hampshire plate is not interested in rules, regulations or any of our laws. He likes doing whatever he pleases, not only on our downtown street but where he lives. He is a snowbird and pulls this trick every year--selling cars without a license and breaking ordinances to do it. He also has no problem with disobeying county codes on parking his vehicles on a particular County road where parking is prohibited from dusk to dawn.

Perhaps the city will at least enforce the 4 hour rule and give out tickets for the illegal car for sale sign and the advertisement of a business on J Street.

  2. Its hard enough for a small business to survive in Lake Worth, especially on a side street off of the main drag. I believe they are only attempting to draw attention to their lovely little restaraunt on J St. Maybe you should be a little more supportive of "the little guy" and stop you negativity...MERRY CHRISTMAS

  3. DID ANYONE CALL 688-3400 TO GET A POLICEMAN ON THE SCENE? THE POLICE DEPT. HAS SAID TIME AND TIME AGAIN TO MAKE A CALL!

  4. You call it negativity, anonymous; I call it what it is. If passes are given to everyone, then rip up the ordinances; rip up the laws. Are laws only for some people, some of the time? If truth is negativity, so be it.

As far as calling the PBSO--why are they not just doing their job?

  6. Have you people ever been to that cute little Cafe on J St? They are the nicest bunch of folks that ive meet in a long time. Instead of trying to hurt them, go down there try some the wonderful food, and maybe talk to them about the sign. Im sure they would be happy to accommodate you. And im pretty sure that there are no restrictions on parking on Sat and Sun...

  7. No restrictions on Sat and Sunday? LOL Great. Don't begrudge a business...just would like all of them to do things within our laws. It took a citizen to paint over the graffiti on J street after 8 months. What's wrong with the businesses that they allow this in our downtown? People have been looking the other way for years and that is why our city is in the condition it is.

  9. I certainly feel for our businesses and Poutine Dog is great. But I also agree that ordinances are ordinances and the City enforces none so not sure why they keep passing them.
