It might be a good idea to shop local and help the local businesses, but when they buy Dollar Tree items for $1 and then try to sell them to us for $3.99, this is where the problem is, do they think we are stupid? jack up prices from DT four times, this is what pisses me off from local business that we have down on Lake Ave. Very unethical.
It's just an analogy, anonymous. It is not taken to be fact. I happen to believe that many of the stores are too expensive and do not cater to the average middle-class shopper.
Take it how you want. You want to argue and make a big deal out of someone's comment, so be it. Good luck on business today. That's what's important, not your personal attack on my perceived "flippancy."
What happened to someone's free speech. They can't make a comment now that stuff is too freaking expensive in downtown LW? Shopkeepers are too sensitive about this but it is the consumer who dictates what he will or will not pay. Listen to the shopper. You might learn something or go out of business like so many have.

ReplyDeleteThe comments at 1:32 should not have been posted, regardless of your free speech argument. Bad taste by you Lynn. No proof.

ReplyDeleteLynn, is it just your nature to make such flippant responses. If it was an analogy Dollar Tree would not have been highlighted.
