Dante Fils-Aime ran for a 54 yard touchdown early in the game
Lake Worth had 8 penalties for a total of 95 yards but still managed to pull it through, beating Jensen Beach (20 -14), their first exciting win of the regular season under new head coach, Jessee Hester. Lake Worth plays Boynton Beach at home next Friday night, September 6. Game starts at 7pm. Come on out and support Lake Worth High football. See you on the 50 yard line.
The first half was kind of boring, but Lake Worth did not let the game get away from them. The second half was definitely exciting. The Trojan fans did a fantastic job of keeping the team inspired. WHERE WERE THE NON-EXISTANT CHEERLEADERS ??!! Were they all having a Midol Moment ,clustered together at the west end of the field all night? They did occasionally wander by the stands, drinking energy drinks(why)? ,and looking baffled. The band did not go out onto the field at all, even to stand together a and play a song at half time. They did let their existence be known during the second half ,backing up the fans. Grouper sandwiches and sweet potato pie were among the offerings at the concession stand! All in all, if you weren't there you missed out on a great evening.
