Arming Syrian Terrorists

Oh no, is this de je vu--shades of George Bush and the Weapons of Mass Destruction that lead is into Iraq?

Back in 2011, Obama called on Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad to resign. He made the United States' position clear.

As far as I am concerned, both Syria and the rebels are our enemies. Obama has now made the decision to arm the rebels as Syria, Iran, Hezbollah and Russia have all upped the ante. Netanyahu, President of Israel's standard reply has always been that it is necessary to “think carefully about which arms, and which rebels.” He has said, however, that Iran is keeping Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime alive and has instructed Hezbollah to actively fight in Syria.

Israel has been warning the West against arming Syrian rebel groups, as many of them have ties to or are branches of organizations like Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. But by Obama declaring that the Red Line has been crossed, (the use of chemical weapons by Syria) this, in the end, is all about protecting our friend Israel and the balance of power in that region.

A Rasmussen Poll  found that 73 percent of Americans hope the U.S. will not get involved in the Syrian civil war. We just can't stay out of anything.
