Shanon Materio, Fundraiser in Chief

Comment Up

One of the most important aspects of campaigning is raising funds.  And Shanon Materio had no problem in that area with thousands of dollars coming from her friends (the 'in-crowd') in Lake Worth, not to mention Sun Recycling companies and its executive director giving a total of $1,000.--Sun Recycling, the very company that has involved itself in our city in a negative way. That company can always be counted on by certain people. Perhaps it had a lot to do with her campaign treasurer, activist extraordinaire, Mary Lindsey. However, the person who must do the lion’s share of the fundraising… the fundraiser-in-chief, if you will, is the candidate herself.

One always has to follow the money.

From Lake Worth, there were thousands of dollars in contributions to Ms. Materio. Some of the contributors were the usual suspects and included: Greg Rice giving $500 and his connection with Hulett Environmental that gave a $500 donation, Loretta Sharpe, Phil Spinelli, Brendan Lynch $500, John Deese $500, Laura Starr and her husband, David Brodie, giving a total of $1,000, Mary Lindsey, and Chip Guthrie's wife. Former fire chief, Paul Blockson gave $300.

Some surprises were Morganti the contractor on the beach redevelopment with $500, Deborah Bornstein, wife of Lake Worth's city manager gave $150 (at least Michael Bornstein had the good sense not to give in his name), State Senator Jeff Clemens who is a good friend of Materio's gave $250, and best of all, mayor of Lake Worth Pam Triolo giving $200 under her real name.  One of the people who is still behind the scenes (don't ever kid yourself that he isn't) is former Lake Worth mayor, Rodney Romano. He and his wife gave $1,000.

On the report ending 3-7-2013, Ms. Materio had raised $71,960.29.

This is no April Fool's joke. Read PBPost article

  1. Pam Triolo is being used and she doesn't even know it. How sad.

  3. That's right, anonymous at 2:11. Pam Triolo gave $200 under her REAL name so that people wouldn't notice when reading the T-Report. She knows and knew exactly what she is/was doing.

  4. I agree with Lynn. What are all these people hoping that Shannon will do for them?

  5. Pay to play is alive and well in Palm Beach County in spite of a watchdog ethics program that citizens voted for, but cities now do not want to fund.

She was paid back for previous support of this in crowd in Lake Worth and they are pre-paying her for future shady activities in West Palm Beach on their behalves.
Mr. Clemens and Mr. Lynch wasted multi-millions of taxpayer funds along with her on the CRA, and Mr. Guthrie apparently admires her "perspicacity" on government spending, without taxpayer approval, of the revenue diverted to the CRA.

  7. Shanon Materio and her friend, Mitchell, did a hatchet job on Gregg Weiss even going so far as to call him an ANARCHIST. Get the connection? Vilify and destroy. Probably a Mary Lindsey missive as she likes to call half of Lake Worth anarchists when they disagree with her and all her little sheep like friends follow her down the garden path. Surprised at the Palm Beach Post endorsement though as they usually, not always, go with lefties like Weiss who is a big Democrat.

  11. And your point anony @4:23? Do you think people write blogs NOT to have facts or don't do research? We are talking about a political philosophy here--not research.

  17. Mrs. Materio is a public figure. Also, have you EVER heard of the First Amendment? Guess not when it comes to your "friends." Go tell your friend Wes the same thing.

  18. Materio can put out a campaign postcard calling Mcvoy a "mad scientist", but somebody can't call Daddy's little mob darling a "bad Apple"? LOL-go open your wallet to the dark Kabal once again.
