A Ford Dealer's Report -
From Tom Selkis' (Latham Ford) Facebook -
True story yesterday at the
dealership.
"I'll try to make this as short and to the
point as I can.
One of my salesmen here had a woman in his
office yesterday wanting to lease a brand new Focus. As he was reviewing her credit application with her he noticed she was on social security disability. He said to her you don't look like you're disabled and unable to work. She said well I'm really not. I could work if I wanted to, but I make more now than I did when I was working and got hurt
(non-disabling injury).
She said the government sends her $1500.00 a month in
one check. And she gets $700.00 a month on an EBT card (food stamps), and $800.00
a month for rent. Oh yeah, and 250 minutes free on her phone. That is just
south of $3500.00 a month. When she was working, she was taking home about
$330.00 per week.
Do the math and then ask yourself why the hell
should she go back to work.
If you multiply that by millions of people, you
start to realize the scope of the problem we face as a country. Once the socialists have 51% of the population
in that same scenario, we are finished.
The question is, when do we cross that threshold
if we haven't already, and there are not enough people working to pay enough
taxes to support the non-working people? Riots?? Be prepared to protect your
homes.
She didn't lease the Focus here because the
dealer down the road beat our deal by $10.00/month. Glad to know she is so frugal with her hard
earned money."
Note: This tale was unverified but it sure does make a valid point.
Yup, this story first surfaced on the internet in 2004, when G.W. Bush was in office.
ReplyDeleteYou would have to be an idiot to believe that story!
ReplyDeleteSSI benefits are $674. max per mo... if you're blind or disabled.
Food Stamp (EBT) benefits average $133. per mo.
If you receive rental assistance your SSI benefits are lowered accordingly.
Its obvious this tale is unverified because its a fabrication... but what valid point does it make?
You guys go to extreme to defend socialism. That said, the point is obvious--people don't have to work one iota to live in this country.
ReplyDeleteFor a worker retiring at age 66 in 2012, the maximum amount of SS is $2,513.
Depending on the number of people in your family, you can make a maximum of 1202 for 8 people for food stamps.
No, the point is that you post anything you find on the internet, true or not, and try to peg it on Obama.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, touchy, touchy. Did I EVER mention Obama in this? You guys are too defensive when there is nothing to defend.
ReplyDeleteNo not touchy, just pointing out the facts, you post this stuff and don't even research it.
ReplyDeleteYou say just the facts, but don't seem to abide by that yourself.
Unless someone clicks on the comments, they will accept this as fact, despite your added (fter you posted it).
Awwwwwww LOL
ReplyDeleteCripes, Obama is doing a wonderful job. NOT. She said it was unverified. What do you want? Obama sucks and this country is in big trouble. Everyone pass on that man's message. It needs to be heard. Pretty soon there will be more people not working and then what?
ReplyDeleteIt happened in October.
