Stopped by Mamma Mia's two nights ago hoping for Italian food. They don't serve anything but basically pizza with 28 selections.
A Jungle Jim for little Jimmy. Replacing convenient parking--
this will not make the city any money.
Barry setting up shop
He's going to have everything you need for a beach experience and beyond. Love that pink t-shirt and looking forward to his grand opening.
If you went there looking for Italian food ...well then:
ReplyDeletePizza = Italian food.....you should have said..."I went there looking for something other than the, good'ole Italian favorite Pizza"
Yes, I know, the origin of Pizza is a bit fuzzy...but for the sake of this post *it is Italian*.
Now if it's pasta you want.....we cook it every Sunday.....just bring the wine!
Businesses,THE handicapped and elderly, on Lake Worth Palm Beach islands Oceanbeachfront, will have reasons, to file a complaint for loss of BUSINESS, sabotaging their businesses,by removing adjacent, upper level parking spaces for future customers ACCESS TO THEIR BUSINESSES,, dennying handicapped and elderly convenient parking to come to the restaurants and boutiques.
ReplyDeleteThe malicious, devious Lake Worth City Commission does not want the revenue generating businesses, WITH WHICH TO pay the City's construction Debt with, to be accessible for their clients. Member Scott Maxwell ,who befriended Retha Lowe in 2001 to get the CITY'S black vote, has always vehemently voted against any project which could generate revenue for a sustainable City of Lake Worth.Especially against the known guaranteed succesful 1921Lake Worth Mediterranean style re-created beautifully, Casino.
This Scott Maxwell advised then Comm.member Lowe to forcibly sign the illegal Greater Bay Contract, with Nadine Burns and Dave vespo
grabbing the gavel out of the hands of present, healthy and able TO SIGN, BUT REFUSED WITHOUT READING IT, Mayor Drautz!
JIM MCCAULY AND OFFICIALLY,CORRECTLY NAMED LAURENCE(,SLEAZY, GUTTER PEOPLE SAY LARRY)MCNAMARA, CONSCIOUS OF THE ILLEGALITY OF THAT GREATER BAY CONTRACT, FILED SUIT AGAINST THE CITY FOR GIVING ILLEGALLY AWAY OUR PUBLIC OCEAN bEACH.
I FILED A GRIEVANCE WITH THAT CROOKED COMMISSION IN PROTEST OF THE ILLEGAL,USURPATION OFTHE MAYORS'SIGNATORY POWERS,(PAM LOPEZ HAS COPIES) WHICH THE SLEAZES IGNORED.THE FACT STILL STANDS THAT SCOTTMAXWELL'S PROTEGEE RETHA LOWE(ETHICS VIOLATOR), NADINE BURNS AND DAVE VESPO(WHO BROUGHT IN GREATER BAY(KICKBACK???)REFUSING TO DO BACKGROUND CHECK, TO CERTIFY THEIR LEGITIMACY, AND FINANCIAL STATUS, SIGNED THE CONTRACT ILLEGALLY, WITH USURPATION OF THE MAYOR dRAUTZ'S ONLY SIGNATORY POWERS,WITTNESSED IN PUBLIC.
AS A BANKER ,HE OWED A BACKGROUND CHECK, TO LAKE WORTH.WHY DID HE CHOSE TO AVOID THIS BACKGROUND CHECK?
WHAT WAS HE PROMISED, IF HE, RETHA LOWE AND NADINE BURNS DID NOT DO A GREATER BAY BACKGROUND CHECK, WHICH DISCLOSED 92 JUDGEMENTS AS BILL COACKLEY DISCOVERED, DOING SUCH CHECK???KICKBACKS PROMISED????HOW MUCH EACH?
The circular pacth with mangey palms, and shabby greenery,is placed to make certain that future clients for the businesses in the elegant Lake Worth 1921 meditarranean style Casino Loggia, do not have acces to businesses and make them lose income.
ReplyDeleteDO PEOPLE GO TO THE OCEAN BEACH, TO LOOK FOR A PARK?
THIS MALICIOUS LIE WAS THE REASON SLEAZY COMMISSION MEMBVERS, DECIDED TO STEAL THE PARKING SPACES FOR THE HANDICAPPED, ELDERLY AND ALL REVENUE BRINGING CLIENTS FOR THE BUSINESSES.SABOTAGING THE LIVELYHOOD OF BUSINESS OWNERS, IS GROUND FOR A MAJOR LAWSUIT, TO RECOVER LOSS OF BUSINESS INVESTMENT AND INCOME!
Will someone please help the illiterate poster above? My goodness such appalling writing, grammar and disjointed thoughts, with a strong dose of uncivilized anger. Do we really host such people in our fair City?
ReplyDeleteI want some lasagna
ReplyDeleteAs Commissioner cara Jennings insisted on being responsible for the final Site Plan negotiations with Palm Beach County fot the County grant, I don't understand Ms Mcnamara's vitrol directed toward Commissioner Maxwell.
ReplyDeleteAlso, didn't mayor Drautz and Commissioner Jennings vote to award the RFP to Greater Bay?
As previously stated, it was NOT a Grant. It was bond money that the taxpayers of LW have been paying for since 2004.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, NO you are wrong again. Jennings and Drautz did NOT vote for Greater Bay. It was Lowe, Burns and Vespo. Only two responded to the ad regarding our beach with Peter Willard getting the vote.
Where do you get this stuff?
Either there is a communications problem or we have different definitions.
ReplyDeleteThe RFP that Mayor Drautz initiated for the Casino Project had only 1 reponse that offered to take Financial Responsibility for the Development, Construction, leasing and management of the Casino. The RFP response by GB was approved unanimously by the Commission in 2006, including Mayor Drautz and Commissioner Jennings.
The Grant from PBC came from a Bond issue, but was awarded to municipalities in grant Form so that certain restrictions could follow the use of the funds. If LW didn't meet certain requirements of PBC, the money could have been given to other municipalities who had applied for it.
Take financial responsibility--ok. GB was the only company considered by the commission.
ReplyDeleteOn July 27, 2006, the entire commission approved on the agreed terms of the GB beach redevelopment and they directed staff to prepare a development agreement and land lease. It also directed staff to negotiate an interlocal agreement with PB County for the beach project funds.
It was after all of these agreements were drawn up that problems were identified and got the people up in arms. The people, you know, the guys who pay the taxes and whose beach it is, have a right to bring up issues. When ther4e are no responses or it becomes a political football, sometimes they take action. We did.
You are correct on the bond money although I don't know what you mean about in the "form of a grant." I spoke in front of the PB County Commission on the bond and the extension. it was always use it or lose it.
Prior to July 27, 2006, I believe the Commission directed that Staff procure from Greater Bay the RFP required information that was not in their original RFP response.
ReplyDeleteI further believe that Staff submitted the add’l info received from GB and then received the unanimous Commission direction to negotiate the contracts.
Do you know if the due diligence was performed by Staff or was it part of the Contract with the City hired Consultant, Cory Gorman?
What due diligence? There NEVER was any D&D.
ReplyDeleteOn July 24, there was a meeting in the conference room with Wes Blackman as moderator. Paul Boyer was present as were Willard, Steele, and Toner of Greater Bay. Modifications were made based on their discussions of May 24 and 25th. A final set of business terms were agreed to on July 25th immediately after the lunch break. this is when we LOST the pool to Willard as Boyer negotiated it away. Casey, Ciklin Attorneys, Bruce Alexander and Robert Crane waited for the commission vote on the 27th in order to finalize the legal documents. the commissioners agreed to them. We all know what happened next.
Is it just coincidental but has anyone noticed that whenever Blackman is involved in something shiiiiit happens?
