Wood Stork at Lake Osborne

We are lucky to see Wood Storks from time to time. They are amazing birds. This lone stork walked right up to me.

The Wood Stork is the only stork that presently breeds in North America. In the United States there is a small and endangered breeding population in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
