  2. Who cares. He sounds like a _____. Wasn't he part of this beach redevelopment? Someone needs to ask him what in the hell happened.

  3. John seems like a very nice man. We have to remember, however, nice doesn't cut it with this trio. You must vote along their lines. That's what compromise means to them. Sure hope we don't get another Mr. Second.

  4. When John came to the neighborhood 4-5 years ago, he was elected VP of the NA and led the successful fight against a proposed 4 story condo project within the neighborhood.
As for the Casino, I don't know what happened. John got 3 first place votes in the competition for architect, but lost on total score. He was then retained for the Green elements, but I think most of them were cut out as busdet consideration.
Nice guy, great wife and kids in college.

  5. Swerdi did not like the 65' tall condos proposed for 3rd Ave South, Palmway and Lakeside. But when they were reduced to 50' tall he was in favor and he helped the development team by making them a 3-d model to show the opposition.

  6. I certainly hope Szerdi does not run un-opposed! It's one thing for an incumbent to have no opponents –the commissioner’s record can speak for itself. But an open seat needs at least 2 people running so they are forced to discuss where they stand on the issues.

God forbid we get another egomaniac like Maxwell who thinks that running un-opposed means his opinion reigns supreme and speaks for all of the people (none of which actually voted for him.) Not to mention it would be a dis-service to Lake Worth if Szerdi just went along unquestioningly with the other three, who are decidedly & blindly pro-business & pro-development –even if it’s against the interests of the average LW resident. That would be an un-balanced dais to the extreme.

I don’t know who, where, or how, but please: someone else needs to step up and devote themselves to public service by running for District 4 Commissioner. Hopefully a person who supports the Respectful Planning PAC and the everyday concerns of neighborhood residents.

  8. Swell, that's all we need are people running who are relatively new to LW and no one knows them and they don't even understand the players. That happened when we got Varela.

  9. Pretty sad.
The respectful planning pac thing worked out so well you have to go begging for ANYONE to run? What's even sadder is that YOU don't care who runs, what their qualifications are or what their credentials are.
That happened when we got Drautz the carpetbagger, where is he now? Waterman the carpetbagger, where is she now? Mulvehill and Mcoy, where are they now?

  10. Who is Margaret? Who is Beth? Do they live in District 4?

I must agree it's sad when the only way to fight insider corruption & outside lobbyists in Lake Worth is to find an intelligent new resident who moved to Lake Worth for its small town charm, someone who believes public service is a duty & honor. Only after elected to office do they learn the ugly truth that Lake Worth is an insider's club of entitled elitists & their egotistical puppets, who are paid shills for the South Florida development & business community. And a really bad-ass "nice guy." Allegedly.

Where are Mulvehill & McVoy? They are doing their research, talking to the residents, trying to make a difference in this crazy town despite the obvoius obstacles. They are sitting on the dais in City Hall several times a week, speaking for the people of Lake Worth who elected them. And importantly, speaking for those who didn't or can't vote. They are speaking for everyone who deserves representation in our City. They are speaking for Lake Worth's history, Lake Worth's environment, Lake Worth's future.

Where is Maxwell? Sitting on a barstool at Daves. --Where is Amoroso? Buying sex toys & dancing at a nightclub in NYC. --Where is Triolo? Who knows, who cares? Wherever, whatever, she's telling everyone that she's right & whoever disagrees with her should shut up. --The 3 Stooges are funny all right. But it will be a tragic future for Lake Worth if they are allowed to continue with their pompous ways & bully tactics.
