Politics can get in the way

Scott Adams' Dilbert

I read this cartoon this morning and it reminded me instantly of Susan Stanton. She was hired for her expertise and to make the difficult decisions to raise this city from its downward spiral. Over 32 months she worked 16 hour days to do just that. She had constant battles with Scott Maxwell who questioned her every decision and who treated her with little regard--one assertive personality confronted by another. Politics, in the end, did her in.
Politics can get in the way of good judgment.
We get it.....SS was the best thing since sliced bread....but enough is enough.....why cant you just move on?
ReplyDeleteBTW I do read that comic strip every morning
I dunno...perhaps it is to aggravate people like you. :)
ReplyDeleteWhy has your so called pro-business commissioners turned down $100 million of new investment. And why have your pro-business commissioners not vote to save the residents and business owners $1.2M annually on their electric bills? (by approving the outsourcing of utility customer service and cleaning up collections.) Progressives as they called the former commission took ACTION, and got things DONE. This group is driving new business away with their decisions anony at 4:37.
ReplyDeleteThe present Commission is saddling us with a $7,000,000.- Deficit What has Scott maxwell done to alleviate this? His bitching and complaining is a cover of incompetence to correct any problem of our City.He always opposed any project with revenue generation potential!Does he know how much water dept. sels our well water for through the backdoor.Did any Commission memebr do market research of cost of drinking water per gallon???I know Maxwell didn't?We paid $35,000,000,- for the R.O.Pland
ReplyDeleteI don't think it was only politics though, sorry, her attitude also had a lot to do with it.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I have heard. Having said that, however, attitude goes both ways. You don't come on to someone and be nasty and a bully and expect that person to roll over and play dead for you.
