Lake Worth Hero Event

Comment Up
All nominating forms for your favorite candidate must be completed and turned into City Hall no later than this Friday.

This was the flyer I received. Obviously there must be some mistake as the PB Post has the date of June 30.

  1. What are standards for a Lake Worth Hero?
One Citizen,Laurence McNamara, who has contributed most to the City.Saved the Beach from a 43 plus years give away of our Beach to flim flam organizations with 92 judgements, Citizens were not informed of?
With an indetermined timeline for construction, 5,10,15 years? Which windbag knew this? That lease could have been sold for $10million and Greater Bay could have walked away, and left the Beach as was.Who had this knowledge?
Who really Saved the Old Bridge Park and our public lands and Parks, in 2003 with a Charter Amendment, before Suzanne Mulvehill was involved, which saved all public land and parks.
Lake Worth's,OUR Old Bridge Park on Palm Beach Island waterfront was worth $16million and to be sold for $1.2million!
Suzanne was not here in 2003,,but claimed she saved all,in her campaign.
Laurence and I were sued for preventing this sale and developement of 86 condos, with revenue for Palm Beach, not Lake Worth!
The suit was dismissed,as Laurence's not Suzanne's Charter Amendment ,prevented that piracy.
6 years of free 4th of July Picnics for all at OUR Old Bridge park? Not appreciated, personally financed, not with a loser's hand out to the City for $2,000,- in 7 million Deficit times!

I have all newspaper article clippings substantiating my

  3. The CRA is placed in the wrong District and has cost the City millions in revenue.6th Avenue So and 10th Avenue North promised luxury condos and commerical developments???It cost us $15,000,000,- one project not put out for bid,but in a private deal!!!10th Ave.N. rehab 1/2mile for $8.6million.
Manapan.s Mayor Gerard, put 1 1/2 mile total reconstruction, drainage and restoration of A-1-A for $1.8 million.
CRA heroes???In whose retarded mind. This smells to high heavens!
Does this "genius" know the mission of all CRAs? They must be int the blightest areas of Cities, to alleviate its' blight, for which they can get Federal grants!
I can show the application website.
Lake Worth's new Commission has a $7million Deficit, result of years of negligence of City Hall management.
This Commission can make one major ordinance, which directs the CRA to 6th Avenue So .West of Dixie Highway, where it belongs. If this Commission is as incompetent as previous ones,
it will not do this, and continue losing revenue from our most lucrative Downtown District. It's major chievement would be the redistricting of the Lake Worth CRA while enlarging our tax base. All is presently going to CRA and spent without rules and controls, covered by our Utility and tax revenue!.
Ron Exline placed this CRA in the wrong district. He probably did not know its' mission, which cost us millions.Downtown was never our most blighted district,6th Ave.South always was.
We are responsible for all Debts the CRA incurs, without receiving its' revenue.
New Commission can make one major significant motion:
Redistrict the Lake Worth CRA where its' mission mandates their position, and retsore our most lucrative Downtown revenue to help sustain our General Fund!

A true Lake Worthian hero in my book!
(and this holds true well before he was Commissioner!)

  8. My vote would go to Robert Waples. he is out there every weekend with SWA and Neighbors helping neighbors fixing up properties in need.,plus he is a neighborhood president,PLUS he volunteers on the P&Z, PLUS he puts out the neighborhood newspaper, there is probably more.
