  1. I thought the new vision was to have qualified individuals on the P&Z. I don't know about the others, but what the heck are Mark Parrilla's qualifications?

  2. Oh God. Three lawyers, one loud mouth who hates everything and a planner who already voted on terrible projects within the city with an ego as big as The Lucerne.

  3. Well you have a couple of attorneys there. I think Rinaldi used to be one. Judith Just was on that awful community relations board. Wes is a Planner so we know he's qualified as far as the new qualification policy goes. Mark is a neighborhood president and a former community activist--didn't Obama start out as a community activist? So, all you need is a majority of "qualified" people. It's a pity that our present Board got politically stomped on.

  4. Are you sure there aren't any truck drivers on that list?

  5. The current members on the P&Z and HRPB have the opportunity to apply for those boards if they so choose. Each can present his/her case during the interview process noting his/her qualifications including years of past service. Life and circumstances change and one can choose to adjust or sit in the corner saying "poor me." I prefer those who do not wallow in self-pity.

  6. You just gave a bunch of political rhetoric. The sad thing though is that you actually believe the bull that you just wrote...no one else will believe it.

  7. Lynn, if you do not like the choices why not you and your buddies apply, I am sure in your mind you are all Qualified.

  8. If you want to take a poke at this author, post with your real name.

To set you straight on this, my assessment of myself as well as my friends, is that we do not have gigantic egos to fulfill. We are happy in our own shoes and our own skin. Everyone needs to know their limitations. They also have to understand politics in this city--which you obviously have a problem with per your sarcastic comment..

I can't say whether I am happy with the choices or not. I will wait to read the resumes. I have seen a few of them in action, however.

  9. according to idiot BRH"The current members on the P&Z and HRPB have the opportunity to apply for those boards if they so choose. Each can present his/her case during the interview process noting his/her qualifications including years of past service."
There SHOULD have been three openings for this Commission to fill. The rest of the members of the board had terms ahead of them. Those members SHOULD NOT have had to reapply!!!You see BRH ,the Commission THREW THE ENTIRE BOARD UNDER THE BUS !!! Does your tiny brain grasp what happened to a group of very qualified citizens? They got kicked in the nuts by this childish Commission! Does that give you a clue,BRH?When will the Commission be disbanding all of the OTHER boards, like the CRA,and allowing people to reapply for them? Katie Mcgiveron

  12. Is this the same Mark A Parrilla who plead guilty to an assault charge is 2007?

  13. It's the same Mark Parrilla who said that he was against anyone being on a city board who has been convicted of a crime.

  14. Is this the same Wes Blackman that PBSO booking records show was arrested for a DUI Sept 16th, 2011?
